I loved Sleepwalker when I was a kid. Had a bunch of his comics and spider-man team up when her wore spidey's spare suit. So many memories, love the vid!
I actually did a UA-cam interview with Sleepwalker's creator last year. Great guy Bob is, and he held various important positions in Marvel for almost 3 decades. He was one of those Marvel characters that I believe should have had a bigger following; he was actually different and had a cool, if somewhat vague, powerset.
This is a very interesting character. Just someone that goes to sleep and that's what awakens this entity to take over their body, where it is able to warp reality like it was all a dream. As someone who actually has been told to have this condition, I know what that's like. The feeling of waking up and realizing something is off, your family telling you weird and funny things you did last night that you have no memory of. Since I also have been able to tap into daydreaming, where I can control what's going on in the dream while still not being able to realize if I'm sleepwalking in the real world, I can imagine what it's like to have such power, unable to know if what you're doing is real or not. The only thing I don't like is the alien part. It makes the character seem vague and empty, as well as the skinny noseless green man design, just really... meh. If it's supposed to be inspired by Giger's 'Alien' concepts, then he should look completely out of this world. They should look at 'Sandman', where the character literally has a helmet straight out of 'Alien' and he has similar powers. That's a concept done right.
Great timing considering he is making a appearance in Doctor Strange:Mutiverse of madness, also this great origin video I had no idea this character existed so thanks a bunch! Also this is such cool idea having to go to sleep to release him very cool
Remember him he's got some cool powers. So he's Marvel's Phantom, Specter and Freddy Krueger but he protects not destroys. Man, wish they did more with this character 💪👍💪
I randomly picked up the first issue back in the 90's and totally forgot about this character. I just happened to remember enough to find this video. Probably lost the comic ages ago though.
NICE! Thank you for doing this and other lesser characters' biographies. I always liked him and I hope they can potentially insert him into the MCU in either maybe Moon Knight or a Doctor Strange thing. *(Ohh, how about doing videos on some barely known characters: Marvel: The Cosmic Man, Solarman, Nth Man / DC: Bloodwynd, Bushido, Ghost Fist, etc / Malibu: Take Your Pick /Valiant: Take Your Pick)*
I think this classic MARVEL ComicBook hero known as (SLEEPWALKER) should be given the right to return into Comics. In addition I think it would be great to see this ComicBook hero (SLEEPWALKER) appear in a few MARVEL cartoon shows.
I know right? The interaction between Moon Knight's personalities seems to be based on the interaction between Rick and Sleepwalker (and yes, i know Moon Knight was created way earlier). Rick left voice messages for Sleepwalker on his answering machine, and Sleepwalker left a crude drawing of Spider-Man with the words "Good? Bad?" to ask Rick whether Spider-Man was a good or a bad guy.
@@remc0s Yeah, the MCU has a habit of combining some characters. Will be interesting to see where they take Moon Night. They don't like to have the same plot or power show up in multiple movies/shows though, so I doubt we will see Sleepwalker in the MCU anytime soon.
They basically stole the entire character of Sleepwalker and turned him into Moon Knight, who has nothing to do with the MCU version. Great, now people will forever think Sleepwalker is a ripoff and Moon Knight is completely unrelated to the comics.
Same. No.1 was my very first comic book ever. I picked it up at a 7-11 down the street from my house, and thus began my journey into collecting. I just picked up the Legends series action figure last night... I'm now 40 years old... I waited 30 years for this.
I still have the whole series! I fell in love with Sleepwalker with issue #3, which came in one of those bags of about 5 or 6 comics. I then collected the whole series, right as it was winding down and getting canceled.
Can you please do comic book origin of Marvel's Circus_of_Crime since they made Hawkeye the Archer and Avenger we know him as today even though they did some terrible things?
Alyssa left Rick because he said he doesn’t want to put the professor through trouble of sleep experiments and that when Bookworm who worked for the professor was put in jail recently. Alyssa left Rick for that reason is a bit overdramatic. Most is about will Rick and Aylssa get back together and while she dates that dumb blonde jock guy. At least Alyssa was the for Rick when he’s in a coma.
I loved this concept. So Ditko but without Ditko. I knew this was a 70s concept just done long after.
Hes also got those jerry seigel Specter vibes
Deathlok, now there’s a character who needs some time to shine…specially the version created by Dwayne McDuffie.
I loved the mcduffie run

Sleepwalker. Subscribes and shares.

If the Great Lakes Avengers comes to recruit you...you know you are a has-been or never will be.
Never will be.

Looks like Cad Bane with a hood.
Another weird and unexpected pick…AWESOME!!! More of these next year, please!!!
i liked Sleepy's design bettter early on when he was tall and skinny, it was a different look then most character at the time
You do not mess with the Mindrake!
Bad juju brotha!
I just assembled the whole run of Sleepwalker series along with Darkhawk #'s19-20 and the Sleepwalker holiday special
I think he should appear in a Doctor Strange movie where Nightmare is the villain and that could splinter of to his own Disney + series
Woh. Now I'm hoping there will be a Sleepwalkee in the background somewhere when Strange is passing through dimensions. 🤞🤞
How did you know?
I got nine issues of sleepwalker. 😀👍
Still have his first Marvel issued cards for him. Characters like him and Slapstick were awesome. The 90's had some awesome characters.
That's funny Ren & Stimpy in a Marvel Comic 🤣 didn't expect that.
@@jblue88hoodgamer54 They also had their own series in Marvel.
I strongly feel that this Marvel character hero called (SLEEPWALKER) deserves the right to appear in a MARVEL cartoon show series.

Very interesting character. Great video, also.
I think if they were going to make a sleepwalker movie The villain nightmare from the doctor strange books will be on a good fit
They’re doing that in the new doc strange 2 movie . Sleepwalker was just confirmed. So Nightmare will def be in it.

How would you write a Sleepwalker series on Disney+ 💤 👽🟣🔵
Sleepwalker kind of reminds me of golden age Vision.
Now do Elektra.
You can also do Psylocke.
Good video dude!
He is going to be in Dr. Strange 2
He wasn’t
No he was not
The drummer is a total flashback to Dave Groh,l when Nirvana did MTV'S Unplugged.
All 11 Sleepwalker covers are super well done too
"11"? There were 33 issues in Sleepy's original run.
Powerful Superhero. He has beaten Ghost Rider, Human Torch, Darkhawk and Spider-Man.
Aww, he’s ALREADY in a movie! Go watch Tarantino’s True Romance again sometime. :)
I've wanted to see Sleepwalker in the MCU for years...Then I see the first episode of Moon Knight...
I know right?

Sleepy is confirmed to be in The Multiverse of Madness.

It looks like combination of Green goblin and Hobgoblin and an kree
I remember buying issue 1
me too. totally forgot what the character was or that it was marvel until now.
Yoooo....we can hear the edits in the audio. Big pause and abrupt starts. Sounds like it's skipping.
Can you please do comic book origin of DC Despero, Mr_Bones, Captain Comet and Adam Strange?
The writers seem a little confused with this character.
What are thoughts on Sleepwalker’s voice sound like Vincent Price. And did you know about Sleepwalker’s fan series.
Sweet 👍
Had the very first issue

What cares
It's Skeletor with a different face.
Total laziness in design 👎
It's actually creative, not lazy
Far from skeletor, only similarity is the hood
