I am not a devotional person. Decades ago the church I was attending in California used to issue challenges every year. Each year they chose to read through the Bible chronologically, and because they used the NIV, they purchased, in bulk, the paperback Bibles and sold them to the congregation at cost. They also challenged something like a New Year resolution, which was anything from keeping a prayer notebook (not journal), to volunteer challenges. They also recommended and sold a different devotional every year to go along with the chronological daily reading, and that's when I discovered that I wasn't cut out for devotionals, no matter how small. I have always been a highlighter, underliner, and excessive note taker. I still have all of my Steno pads that are filled with sermon notes going back to 1989, which is when I found my groove, so to speak. I have recently gotten into Scripture writing, using the notes from the sermons I have listened to. I made the mistake of finding channels that share their artistic gifts. I have no talent, but I now have an ever growing stash of decorated note pads and lots of washi tape and stickers. I have truly been enjoying writing out all of the Scriptures mentioned in the sermons. You are correct in saying that by slowing down and writing God's words down, you retain more and learn more.
I used to feel the same way about watching other channels but I understand it does come by practice with those who aren’t artistic so please continue to enjoy your creative style because on those pages you will look to see your heart and thoughts on paper. I now just watch and still enjoying being a kindergarten in art for now.❤
It’s just an opinion, but for the new planner, why not add in HP horizontal inserts for scripture writing and then weekly pages for gratitude? Then take previous month and create a reference planner for all the notes taken for 2025. Also it is so good to see natural writing in those pages. I have AMPC version and mine looks just about like yours. Oh the fun I have when I’m reading.
Hi, tfs!!! I started in november too, just been feeling God calling me to just read the bible. In my devotion time i do a chronological reading and take notes and such but im reading a regular bible cover to cover taking my time no study... just in the word. Tfs again God bless you

Love that Walmart 2024 planner. I just started Bible study with my church. It’s much easier than reading on your own.

Maybe you should do a video of your own. We should be a director/producer of our own lives.
