I've been on a JoVan binge again & when I watch their scenes after the breakup I get all depressed. They could have been so much more - but us JoVan fans know that. This scene is amazing because they could just be in the same room together & take comfort in each other. She was just sitting there thinking & he was allowing her to do what she needed. John was kinda slick offering her coffee, reminiscent of another time. Again, he should have stopped apologizing & told her how he felt. 9.9.13
This scene (post breakup), and many others, shows how John is able to cut through Vangie "toughgirl" facade and get her to settle down to talk about the REAL issues she may be having. JOVAN FOREVER!!
He`s trying to reconnect with her because he wanted her back now cause the truth was out and there were no more secrets. But what John does`nt seem to understand is he went right into another relationship with the one person he told her was never a factor and had a three and half month relationship with her. John hurt her and she is scared of him alittle cause she knows he will always hurt her, she no longer trust herself around John thats why she leaves.
Another adlib of ME @ 2:10: You look tired, you look good but you look tired. REG had to smile on that one but yet keep her composure because it was obvious ME had stumped her. I'm telling you, these two just HAD IT! They were THE couple of OLTL and TPTB blew it by splitting them up.
Loved when John said "stop arguing I'm bigger than you." That was too cute and sexy at the same time which they were still together at this point. It's bout high time they brought REG back to OLTL!
I LOVE this scene!! John was still in love w/her. Even if he never said it. I mean, wat guy would go that far for n ex? When he defended Van..it was WAY different then how he saved Gnat. With Van he always seemed so hurt to see her walk away. With Gnat it was a weird lust to save her. But Van...he loved her. Maybe he knew, he had mistaken his feelings for Gnat & Van. He tried to fix it but, she wasn't having it. She knew Gnat would never go away,& that he would never make her.
OLTL Would still be on the air if they would have kept Jovan together. Beside having having a white man and a black woman together that was great actors, we were able to see the love on screen. Natalie felt like a little school girl crush..
"Back off before i knock those glasses to the back of your head." Lol..bad boy John always defending his true love Evangeline..i remember too that scene with RJ he said: "If you ever lay one hand on Evangeline, then you experience more pain than you ever had doing hard time."..he's very protective of her, it really proves how much he loves her..
Johns trying to makeup for not been there for her when she needed him. He realize she no longer trust herself around him. They could always calm the other down. John wanted to keep that feeling going thats why he offered her some coffee but she knew what that meant that she left, but John wanted her to stay and she could`nt trust that or him anymore and that hurt him cause he caused it and could`nt fix it.
They used Chris and Van so that they could heat up jolie, but when that didn't happen, the nat character started to interfere with their relationship, since he was her ex.
Ya know...you always pick up on new things after watching a clip 4 or 5 times. When he offered her some coffee...MAN!!! They've drunk coffee in his office after the dare kiss which showed their mutual attraction...duh, John!! Then his multiple "I'm sorrys".....heartbreaking...Vangie is shutting him DOWN!!
Just watched the first episode of season 2 of Scandal and there was a scene that was VERY reminiscent of Evangeline and Hugh's scene in this clip. Olivia and David are arguing about a plea bargain for Quinn and Olivia shuts him down. She even says at the end, "See you in court..." I couldn't believe it. JoVan writer/fan writing for Scandal...I think so. 9.30.12
@DoUTubeToo Still can believe that JOVAN is NO MORE. How could they do this to tv and US, the viewers. They had something golden in their hands. They should fire the exec producer and the head writer right now. Need to bring back Malone, REG, all those good actors of that time like Hugh, Marcie, Vincent fast before. I'm new to this they're great together the chemistry is great. That Natalie woman is needy she drains him mentally and emotionally.
Why is it some people would rather cut their nose off to spite their face? Evangileen and John made a perfect couple. Oppsites certainly do attract.
