Rollover valve

This court animation depicts the components and functioning of a passenger van’s fuel system. The case involved the van rolling over, the fuel spilling and the van catching fire. One passenger died from the fire. The rollover valve was designed to prevent the fuel spillage. The evidence identified a flawed manufacturing process that caused the valve to be defective.
