Very clean matches! I am actually surprised Sonic doesn't get more representation character-wise as a series in Smash Bros. Tails, Amy, Knuckles, or Eggman would be great additions! I'd definitely vote Dr. Eggman in like an Egg Walker as it is always nice to see more villains in Smash and he is a pretty iconic villain.

They should have just done a Shadow alt skin for Sonic. I think you’re right that it would have just been an echo fighter and therefore a waste of space on the roster. Knuckles would have made more sense, though might have also been more of an echo fighter. Egg man would have been the most unique, though he could have ended up being a variation of Bowser Jr. Could have been interesting. At least they put Big the Cat in Smash. 😆
