Wow that's a really cool coaster. I had no idea this was an actual set. I've just been buying the mini coaster sets and random bundles. I could probably get most of the pieces in this set in bundles cheaper than buying the set, but it's the track that's not that easy to find (maybe a third party could make cheaper alternatives). What annoys me is I'm constantly having to reset the joints because they work loose as it flexes. It's a pity knex doesn't include structure buffers (or at least I haven't seen any). I find having elastic bands with hooks here and there helps to keep the joints together, especially where the loops and tight turns are. But that does detract from the look a bit.
Lol - You worked all day then. I have never seen another video on UA-cam where it was actually complete except the K'Nex website video. Everybody else left off the accessories.
Wow, you did a Great Job building it! Now if K'nex can build a coaster like that, i bet they can come up with a plan to make a working model of the famous Zipper ride as seen at carnivals. If they had a working Zipper with all 12 cages that flipped, oh man, that'd be Super Awesome!! I'd definitely give 500 bucks for a working K'nex Zipper that stands 4 to 5 feet tall & works like the real deal!! I saw the Screamin Serpent at a local thrift store for 15 bucks, but it was a buy as-is deal.
I like the side by side comparison with the SS to show its size. It really is pretty big, just too expensive. I don't think I will be able to afford this anytime soon.
QUESTION: is the chain in this set compatible with the chain in the original screamin serpent set? also; can these new cars hook up with the old cars and be part of the same train?
They are my favorite motors because they don't need batteries and this is the only set so far I have seen that has them. It would be great if they were an item that you could buy separately but I have not seen that yet.
Suscribed pretty sure ur the only person who bought this but this is amazing I want it but if I put it on my x-mas list but then it would be the only thing I would get I want some coaster dynamic coasters two u should build some of those
okay so on costco, and they do have them in stock again.. but anyways i found it at costco for the same price^^ and was kind of IFFY on it.. didnt know if it would be worth paying that much:)
Yes. it would be stupid to pay $1000 for this. I don't understand why anybody would. I have been trying for many months to get people to realize that they can get this for much less, but I guess they don't watch my videos
It's expensive, but the coaster-building potential you get from this kit amazing! I just don't understand that K'Nex wasted it on such an ugly and unrealistic layout.
The shaping just kills me on this coaster... Like come on K'nex if you are going to sell a coaster for such an unreasonable price at least give it a realistic layout with shaping that's possible to look at without cringing...
Samissoawsome yeah I don't understand it, such a loss of moment. Most of these knex coaster builders could build a coaster just as long using only the first drop
That thing ia big and the age is 16 and up to build LOL im getting one on ebay for my birthday soon ps. keep up the good work pps nice video ppps ill subcribe
Ok, I've been wondering and i can build smaller ones in about 20-40 minutes and I'm not challenged, thx for the help and im planning on saving up for one, I'll keep in touch on google+ and im gonna subscribe and like!!! Have fun with some other buildings and if i do get it, help me nowhere the instructions are hard to see, thx!!!
Thank you! I have several other K'Nex roller coasters that I haven't got around to building yet. As far as this one, I would say the majority of the time was building the supports - about 80% of the time. The rails and rail supports took up much of the rest of the time. Most people don't bother with the signs, flags, station, snack stand, ipod holder, etc.
The structure doesn't look o sophisticated, I've been looking for a son of servant to build for a challenge, I wanna be a engineer so, tell me how hard it'd be for a 11 year old and what you think.
It is harder than you think, The large scale makes it a little easier to build, but it is a challenge to make sure the slopes and curves are just right. But what really makes it hard is the instructions are hard to read. White on white background sometimes. I also noticed that others that posted videos on this didn't actually finish building it. If you could finish it within 1 day it would be an amazing accomplishment. I had about 25 hours of build time - but I worked tired. You could probably build it faster

I agree. And more could have been done even with the lift at the height it is. hey should have had at least 3 loops I think.
I remember I had a like thing for Knex advanced builds
Awesome!! It runs very smoothly!!
Lol - You worked all day then. I have never seen another video on UA-cam where it was actually complete except the K'Nex website video. Everybody else left off the accessories.
ooh! Exactly 150,000 views! Nice! Man I wish I redo this
Or a complete fairground maybe? ...or coasterville!
See? THIS... THIS is why I love K'nex roller coasters

wow..what a giant track..cool
okay the number works thanks for your help. I might still need help with the loop in the future.
This review of the son of serpent is excellent 5/5
Just as you did not watch the video, we did not pay $999 for the set.
Nice job

Were did you find it
Costco
How does the tubing come in the set? Is each rail one piece (with one splice on a lift) or are there two?
QUESTION: is the chain in this set compatible with the chain in the original screamin serpent set? also; can these new cars hook up with the old cars and be part of the same train?
Before my Lego channel started, I did this.
what would you reccomend to buy the son of serpent or screaming serpent
If you ask me , i would put a booster instead of the second chain lift

this is pretty sweet!!!
thanks
Cool we are doing this in my class in my middle school we started today
alan tovar That is cool. Are you using the K'Nex Roller Coaster Physics set?
***** I don't no I think so
Thanks for 100k views!
It's so expensive now because 95% of the pieces are made in the U.S. I guess it's a good step foular
that is very cool!
do you have an idea of where I can get the phone number
Wats the other coaster besides u
That thing ia big and the age is 16 and up to build LOL im getting one on ebay for my birthday soon ps. keep up the good work pps nice video ppps ill subcribe
coaster needs more weight and track needs less drag. It would be impressive if it needed only one hill like a real coaster.
Even though that's it, but it must be must be fun building it
It's so expensive now because 95% of the pieces are made in the U.S. I guess it's a good step foward to the U.S. but the price man :/
the code dosent work :(
It took u three days wow it took me and my brother only 7 hours
this is cool, but i dont understand who would pay over 50$ lol
50$ is too low. I would say 300
@@nikminnet2768 yeah

this is cool!
Have you went on a roller coaster?
A few ua-cam.com/video/gKbNWKUMlxk/v-deo.html
i hate how it has two chains. plenty of people online have one hill that last longer than that. if im spending 1000 dollars i want more than that
True, but it is not $1000
I made this in 1 day too easy to make lol
That's Chrissy! Sometimes I don't realize she is in the video until later. She likes attention.
i really want this set :(
