    Notmuch is a modern email system providing fast, global search of a local mail store including tagging. Notmuch provides users new approaches for dealing with the ever-increasing flood of email that has become an unavoidable aspect of our lives.
    Notmuch is implemented as both a library and a command-line user-face suitable for integration into existing user-interfaces. The command-line interface provides support for powerful, custom scripting of mail operations. Notmuch also ships with a full-featured user-interface implemented within emacs.
    The author uses notmuch to search a mail collection of over 600 thousand emails covering over 12 years. Thanks to Xapian, results of any search begin appearing with no appreciable delay.

      @dcorbe 4 роки тому +1

      @@SantiYounger A file system designed for massive storage volumes originally developed by Sun Microsystems and in wide distribution in the BSD community. There are efforts underway to port it to Linux but they haven't reached the 1.0 milestone yet.

      @@dcorbe And, now, 6 months later, Ubuntu and other distros consider ZFS "ready"

      I like how you put ready in quotes like there's some kind of conspiracy against the Linux community perpetuated by the ZFS on Linux team. I'd really like someone to explain to me why ZFS has such a bad rap.

      @@dcorbe I put it in scare quotes because it's only JUST been considered ready to go in the latest release, and people like Linus still have problems with it. I personally wouldn't trust it with production data, but it's more than good enough for your home PC
