Liebman readily admits his admiration and debt to Coltrane-and the way he blows, pretty sure Trane has a huge smile on his face. I was fortunate enough to see Dave Liebman live back in the late 70s. Even spent some time chatting with him-nice guy, and a damn fine musician...
Great performance! Until I stood across from Liebman and tried to keep up with him on soprano saxophone, it was difficult to grasp his skill, depth and breadth of ideas, and mastery. I've been honored to do so twice. In addition, he's a very nice person!
an question for those understand more about jazz... kenny g playing style is based on liebman and coltrane? i'm talking about the fast improvisation part, not about the "smooth jazz" songs like songbird and silhouette or some other like those.

Coltrane and Liebman are similar in style, but Kenny G is a completely different style of music and is nothing like this.

Ecoutez encore.
😂
Noise...thats all I hear
I would have sworn it was Trane.
Thats going too far....😎
Sounds like me when I first started playing and struggled with bad tone.
Yes Or No
No, unfortunately.
@@pedrozappathank you !i understand.
outstanding!..as always!
