You know a hero is complicated when you have to learn how to learn
haha great point, and if you learn wrong it's very hard to reteach yourself.
The key really, is to only learn a few skills at a time. Like a set of 3 skills, meaning you cast the 2 skills that are ready, invoke a 3rd spell and use it. even if you practice in demo or custom game, and memorised all the combination, in the actual game you'd find yourself fumbling, and it will often lead to you missing your spells or even combining the wrong elements for the skill that you actually had in mine. Use 3 spells only for the entire game but use it well.
Then slowly move to other 3 sets.
Coldsnap, alacrity and deafening blast are pretty straight forward, and it's really difficult for you to mess it up. Skills like meteor can be easy but it still takes some aiming and timing, tornado may seem useful but you can potentially disrupt your team's fight if you use it at the wrong time, and the scaling with the distance can sometimes mess with your estimation especially when it doesn't have that distance yet.
this is what i have been looking for, thanks for this vid. This allows me finally to get into invoker, how to freaking start learning this hero, and this is a perfect start. Get the skills memorized and from there move on. thanks!
For me learning the combos was relatively easy. What is NOT easy is learning/getting the memory for when your spells will be off CD. ESPECIALLY with the new Wex CD orbs. If anything that is what kills me in fights is invoking through my entire arsenal of spells that are still on 8-20s of CD.
Yea it's so hard to keep track of the cooldowns in your head with no visible timer like every other hero (unless the spell is invoked of course).
The only reason im back to learning a mid hero is because tinker the hero that i spend 500 hours training with it and finally played like a god with it got insane nerfs
Rip tinker
Hello invoker
5:42 can we make a video about that?
'cold strike' huh? im picturing a sunstrike made of ice.

Bot games till you're ready :)
Thank you! quick to the point, with no bs. Most of the other invoker guides out there are like an 40 mins long
Nothing to learn😅
Hey nav can u do a np carry guide pls (BTW its eight ball)
Done, will be published in about 2 weeks.
i know absolutely nothing about dota 2 but i absolutely love mages with expansive and versatile kits so this character calls to me
learn invoker, the most difficult is, we never know if spell is ready or not
Your videos are making me to download dota again

Any shortcut key to control for forge sprit?
you can assign controlled unit keys in dota via selecting the units and pressing ctrl + , I use 1 to control PL's no damage illusion
Lol didn't even do a demo
