1 run a week is a deal breaker for me. Basically we have to purchase a different shoe (which creates more waste and wastes money), if we want to run daily. Not really solving any problems with this. Did they say how many total miles can be run on the shoe? Love your videos and reviews, good luck with your training!
Another great video Loyd. Keep up the good work. I love Salomon products. I’ve got several and they’ve all passed the test of time with flying colours!
Really enjoyed the review Loyd. I really like Salomon s idea and fancy trying the show in the future. If it's not intended as a daily trainer, would it be a shoe for faster efforts or non carbon plate race shoe? Cheers R
I like that idea I mean VIVO barefoot has been doing that for years. They have a whole like reconditioned website where you can buy the recondition shoes they do it with electronics and everything else you know the average person is I don’t know what the timeline is on sneakers, but you know we all buy about probably at least three pairs a year andI think it’s great normal doing that and hats off to Solomon I approve
Interesting idea but I presume it must be for UK and Europe for that recycling system to work? I am not sure if this is green washing, design for low volume run and recyclable for a ski boot only if I heard it correctly. But still kudos for the attempt. I wonder if the firmness of the ride is similar to adidas sl and can you run it in the light trail at least?
Question: I have a pair Salomon Aerovolt and I love everything about it save for 1 small item and a deal breaker. The small item is the ridiculous tongue which is too large within the shoe and folds up, the deal breaker however is the midsole is for me at least is simply hard and dead, especially when I put it next to my Kinvara 14s which are definitely softer or bouncier. Is this more of the same?
I haven’t run in the Aerovolt but it uses Energy Foam in the midsole, so a completely different foam to the INDEX 03. A lot of the cushioned feeling your getting from your Kinvaras is coming from the brilliant PWRRUN+ insoles inside the shoes, I think Salomon need to up their insole game 👍
Every time I wear this Scott jacket I get ask about it 😁 Unfortunately, it’s about 4 years old and I don’t know the model name, I’m pretty sure Scott don’t make it anymore? 🤔
It is cool looking and primaloft is so versatile. It can get wet but remains warm! Gave a look at Scott website and couldn't find one as cool looking. Btw thanks for your very intersting and complete reviews!👍🏻👍🏻
Honestly, it means nothing to me that the shoe is recyclable. It's a clever and smart idea but not important for me when buying. As usual when it comes to Salomon it sounds like they are to narrow and firm. They do look very nice though. Thanks for the video Loyd and a have a great week of training
Wait. What? One or less runs per week? wtf kind of shoe is only good for one run/week? Makes zero sense. And what’s with ‘or less’? Ideally you don’t run it at all?! I definitely want to get a pair of shoes that are ideally not ran in. What a waste.
Some runners only run once a week so it might work for them. At least Salomon are being open and honest about what the shoes designed for. If you’re a runner that cares about what’s going on in the world when it comes to waste within the running industry this shoe might appeal. Running and running shoes are super personal and what doesn’t work for you might work for someone else. I like the way you finish your sentence with ‘what a waste’ when the INDEX.03 is trying to do the exact opposite to that! 🙂
@@Run4Adventure Hey man I guess as a runner that rarely has more than two pairs of shoes in the rotation ( one road and one trail ) I guess I can’t relate to a pair of shoes so specialized…. But I have to wonder: what is it about the makeup these shoes that Salomon is recommending the one ( OR LESS!! ) runs per week?
Really like your reviews. Loads more useful info than most on here and clearly not just repeating the promotional guff.
Really glad you’re enjoying the channel Peter and thanks so much for your kind words 🙏🙂

Nice video Loyd, hope they're better than the On Running Cyclon that I tried, they were like running with a lump of wood stuck to your foot!

Hi there, I just got the Index 1 and I like them a lot, they feel very nice, now that I watched this video make me want to get these ones 😅😅
Glad you’re enjoying your Index shoes, thanks for watching! 🙏
Wow, I envy you running in shorts. Here in Scandi, its -14 and half a meter of snow. 4 layers and trail shoes doesn't even make it fun.
I would be curious to have some feedback after few weeks/months of use ? If you still use them of course
Interesting information, Loyd. Here is my Like. Have a great day.
Thanks Manuel, have a wonderful day! 🙏🙂

Like the idea of a recyclable shoe, will be interested in the durability. At least it is dissasembllblerle😂
See you at the running show Lloyd
See you at the show, thanks for watching 🙏🙂
@Run4Adventure cool video. Brand name of your red socks please? Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed the video, the socks are from Stance 👍🙂
Do we know how to clean them?
There’s actually a how to clean running shoes video on the channel 👍🙂
May I ask what model is your Scott jacket?

This type of "environmentally friendly" marketing annoys me. It seems to me that the most efficient approach to making ski boots is to make ski boots.
