This was the song that my brother and his wife danced to for their first dance at their wedding.
If I ever get married, this will 100% be played at my wedding.
whenever this song pops up on my playlist, i imagine the protagonists of the near future singing it as a duet, not necessarily as a romantic gesture but a promise as fast friends and fellows-in-arms for the same cause: that despite coming from very different timelines that can’t be allowed to cross, they’ll always be there for each other when it counts.
it reminds me a lot of a scene in his dark materials where two characters promise to think of each other at a certain point during the day.when the near future inevitably gets adapted into a tony-winning musical, i look forward to sobbing to this song.

This album, both sides of this album, are drastically different than everything but still feels like IFD. It feels more developed

This was my Wife and I’s first song too.
We were going to have Butterfly by Mad Dog McRae but then this came on. This song actually encapsulates exactly the way I feel about my Wife. The lyrics are perfect for how a relationship goes really. Well, any good one anyway. Thank you for this song.
