my iphone is new and having this issue, it is so frustrating
Ios 16 doesnt show notifications as a list even if i set it to display as “List”. I have to drag my finger from the bottom of the lock screen up to see if there are any notifications
Yep they hid it so now another swipe to see it.

I was getting no notifications from my apps about a week after installing ios16 (weird, I know). The only fix that worked for me is deleting the app and re-downloading it. I tried everything else and they didn’t fix the issue.
Apparently, that's the only solution!! I deleted and re-installed Twitter for testing, and it worked!!! I do not know what I should do with my pics and videos on WhatsApp..

I noticed if I’m driving and someone text me my phone won’t go off. Only way I’ll know if I got text is if I just randomly check my messages.

Like many others here i tried everything. From the steps up above but also resetting network at home. But the problem/bug persists. It started on my iphone 8 about 2 months back on 16.5 IOS, and 16.6 didnt fix it. I switched to an iphone 12 mini a few days ago and i have the exact same problem on there. I can only hope upcoming IOS 17.0 will fix it. The delays are for all apps that give notifications and the delay is always 2, 4 or 7 mins. The exception is when you are busy on your iphone doing stuff while its unlocked then messages always arrive on time.
Hey men, i have a veeery similar problem, you see, actually I do get notifications, but they disappear instantly, as if they were "clear" automatically, and none of them are saved in the notification centre. Also ive already tried with restart all settings, and still doesnt work. Do you know if there is any solution? maybe reset the whole device?
Gilberto Gixx bro, Go to Settings>Notification> select the App you are having problem with, Change the Banner Style to persistent. It can fix the issue. 😊

My notifications wldnt work on my home screen after ios16 update. Switched Focus to off and they now work. Settings - Focus - Do Not Disturb - Off Hope this helps someone

I can’t receive Facebook push notifications. Have already verified the notification settings on FB and my iOS device.
If I randomly do receive a push notification, it won’t show up in my Notification Center.
At last I receive texts again...... I did however setting - general - reset iPhone - Reset All Setting and it takes a while to restart your iPhone.... but Its back and working again - Huge thanks!!! Subscribed!!!

I did the same. And it didn’t work for me. The only thing left to do is to reset the iPhone completely.
March 1st, 2023 ~~ I tried EVERYTHING, and yet, nothing, I reset all my settings, restarted my phone a million times, disabled and enabled my notis, and yet nothing. This issue started yesterday (Feb 28, 2023) but it was late at night at around 11:00 or so, it randomly started happening and I have no clue why, is this an issue or glitch? And yes, some notifications work for some apps but for almost all the other apps like UA-cam, Snapchat, and even discord, it doesn’t work anymore.

@@Fix.369 I figured it all out, all I had to do was delete Snapchat and reinstall, it’s crazy how I went through all that😂 I think deleting and reinstalling apps is the best way if resetting settings doesn’t work

For me it’s only social media notifications that aren’t showing and it’s driving me insane

To add here, for me not only social media apps notifications don’t work, but banking apps, all other, including the apps which send critical notifications through any blocking modes (which they did before)

Why they have done this, move notifications to bottom and hide them? Seem stupid and the opposite of what it should do.
On iPhone 8 AND 6s I have this somewhat opposite issue: Phone is locked , I receive a phone call , I answer it and place it against my ear to talk . If a notification arrives while I am in call , phone's screen lights up , but it is not supposed to! For example if phone is unlocked and I receive a call , place it against my ear and notification arrives , screen remains off like it should. I consider this a bug that it carries on from ios 15.x , now on 16.5.1 .Yes I have done all the necessary things to try to resolve it ( updates , soft reset , hard reset , settings to default etc. ) problem remains unsolved! It is clearly a bug with lockscreen ...And this has been solved in other phones for more than decade ffs...!

Sometimes count notifications doesn’t work properly..
Try going to Settings-->Notifications-->Select Show previews--> Select Always
then the notification should show as earlier

Ar Qa bro, Make sure All The Apps and your iOS is up to date. Also make sure to Refresh the Notification settings. It can fix the issue.😊

I’m having the opposite issue, the notifications don’t go away even after I’ve opened the apps. Yet all my apps have the notifications set to temporary.

@@Fix.369 I already tried that and it didn't fix it. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I don't understand how notifications are supposed to work now. Maybe the temporary and persistent settings aren't supposed to work on the Lock Screen, because they are woking on the Home Screen.
