It was a penalty. Simple as that. Contact with the legs during a charge-down attempt, that is a penalty, and it must be taken from where the ball lands. The Berries can complain as much as they like, thems the rules.
Amazing how none of the commentators, players and fans at the game knew the rules. The referee was the only one who knew and it came out it was the right call. Credit to G. Sutton for backing himself when everyone was against him
@@TimTamGaming are you sick in the head? ofc a delusional souths fan to try tell me the rules🤣 go tell fatrell to get into shape 0-3 to start the season
@@mannyalexis6186 - Correct! Contact with the legs during a charge-down is not allowed even if it is accidental. There is an element of responsibility involved and it is considered dangerous play.
Morris got pushed in the back, was ignored by both refs on the field, touchies and the video. This is essentially what set the crowd off. Not so much the decision on the drop kick (while that also played a part) yet the media ran with that. Inept reffing from Sutton and his touchies/second ref. Yet Sutton was celebrated as a hero.
There was one instance when fists were flying in from two Canterbury players and both could have made made contact with the head on Clark. Look for yourself 1:14:41 and that wasn't spotted. So don't just look at it from one side.
honestly , when have you ever seen a player try to charge down a kick like that ? james graham is a big grub and done that intentionally and tried to act innocent afterward. good job
It's interesting that even the commentators did not know the rules. The penalty is in front because there was dangerous contact with the player attempting a field goal.

Exactly!!
wasn’t a penalty anyways completely accidental
@@mannyalexis6186So are 99% of high tackles, crushers, hip drops etc. Doesn’t matter if it was an accident, it’s a penalty…

You can clearly see the winger push the souths player into Brett Morris, far out

Your a fkn twat if you think that. He immediately yelled to the trainers and knew Reynolds was injured
The charge down play Reynolds was offside who pressured the kicker and Graham wasn't square at marker.

1:38:16 for the Adam Reynolds incident.
1:43:41 man of the match VB? Hmmm interesting
Clear penalty and the right call. As much as it pains me to side with Souths.
