Well there are 3 ex-Vienna trams and 2 of them are non-stop on line 4, so it's not that rare ;) I saw one of these on line 2 two weeks ago, but it's just to get to the garage...
yep, the indicator comes from Geneva and they still didn't take it out from the trolleybus. In Sarajevo, only new Turkish Conectos (360-374), the Lion's Classics (331-334 and 340-344, although only 333 is in service), Satra trams and some Düwags have indicators that properly work. So on other vehicles (such as a MAN SL172 HO where it says Schulbus), the destination and the number don't mean anything, instead they use a sort of plaque with the line number and the destination which is located near the windshields.
There you go : 610-612 (only 612 in service) : MAN SG200 HO 613-623 (of which 614-616, 618 and 621 are out of service) : MAN SL172 HO 624-630 (of which 624 and 626 are out of service) : NAW/Hess ABB BGT 5-25 631-639 : NAW/Hess BBC BGT 5-25 New second-hand trolleybuses should arrive in Sarajevo in these days, but so far we aren't even sure what vehicles they are exactly (we presume some ex-Bern Swisstrolley 2)
Question: Why are all the buses their in different colours and different colour combinations? Any town I've visited always paint all their buses the same colour. This way they're more easily spotted and visitors can recognize them immediately.
Sarajevo is a special case: for trolleybuses, they repainted only the worst ones, but only with the colors they had ; out of 11 trolleybuses, 3 are in green, 3 in blue, 3 in the yellow-blue GRAS livery and 2 are not repainted (yet). The main reason is the lack of funds for new paint and various other stuff. For other vehicles, most of them wear adverts on them, which is also a reason why they are all different, but as I said earlier, no money = no paint :(
I've spotted the yellow and blue KT8D5 tram at 12:52 and 14:11
Good job, someone finally spotted it xD
I like Sarajevo and its transport vehicles.Hoping to visit one day.
Yes, Sarajevo is a very beautiful city and is plenty of diverse vehicles. The Trebević cable car is opening soon, after 26 years of closure.
