I am torn between this gauge and the AEM X series. I definitely prefer the look of the innovate, but I keep reading that the AEM is easier to install and does not need to be calibrated. Apparantly these ones need constant calibration? I just want something I can put in my car that will just work more longer term as I am after a Wideband A/F, Oil Pressure and Boost Gauge for my vehicle.
The basics, 65lb injectors, 450 fuel pump, xp cam with valvetrain and double timing chain etc, intake, headers 3.4 pulley and tuned to 22* advanced across wot on e85 small things beyond that.
That was deceleration fuel cutoff. When the vehicle is engine braking the injectors shut off and its essentially pumping air so the reading goes full lean "----"
it was a "Jensen VX7020 Navigation Receiver" although it was later swapped out with an Atoto A6 pro. Though the jensen looks nice it was pretty laggy because it doesnt have enough ram to perform the tasks you want.
the bosch LSU 4.9 is more accurate and much faster then the 4.2 in the older 4100 model. Though im not sure how your looking at these there hasent actually been a 4100 for a good 5 years on the market new unless it was overstock they changed over to the 4.9 sensor with the introduction of the 4110 which looks identical to the old 4100.
Ill be honest the only MTX-L widebands i deal with either read completely wacky or are broken and in for replacement with one of the AEM units. I highley suggest staying away from ALL innovate products we have had nothing but back luck with all of them but the old LC-1.
@@BuiltPerformanceLLC me too! I've just got an AEM X-series, my MTX-L seems to have a problem with the heater circuit. it eats sensors like those people on my 600lb life.
Thank you so much for comparison to old aem gauge and showing new X series in action.
Thanks for watching!
Appreciate the review helped me with my purchase 😬
Good comparison and to the point.
Can u use just the gauge with the old wiring? My LED have gone out at only 1yr
they use different plugs on the back of the gauges.
@@thebestempty good to know. i was looking briefly for just the gauge itself.
Do you notice the car driving better or more responsive?

What's that Impala got under the hood?

Are the plugs the same between old and new? I would like to swap and not have to reroute all my wiring.
No they aren't sadly differnt pin outs
I can get you a link for one with out a sensor for 140 tho
When driving why did the reading go blank ?
Have a good day

Will it fit in the standard gauge pod
yes, same as the older models it will fit in a standard 52mm gauge pod
lool this is off but what brand radio is that ? I like it, looks cool

What's the model number for that one?
30-0300
Technically speaking, is 3800 X Series more accurate than 4100???? I just bought 4100🙀

How does the aem compare to mtx-l
Ill be honest the only MTX-L widebands i deal with either read completely wacky or are broken and in for replacement with one of the AEM units. I highley suggest staying away from ALL innovate products we have had nothing but back luck with all of them but the old LC-1.
Built Performance LLC thanx for the reply. I had the mtxl. Fried a sensor about each month. I have since switched to aem, havnt fried a sensor yet
Thats about the experience we've had as well. Good to hear your on an AEM unit now at least will get you some longevity.

Don’t buy if don’t have the Q. C passed sticker on the back
Don't buy if it I'd don't got aem stamped in the back that is a counterfeit gauge
