Carnival Sunrise: Renovation Before & After

- We sailed on the Carnival Sunrise for five nights in December 2021. We previously sailed on the same ship in the Summer of 2018, when it was the Carnival Triumph. Just a year after that sailing - in 2019 - the Triumph had a 200 million dollar renovation and was relaunched as the Sunrise. In addition to many cosmetic changes and the renaming of most venues, there were also quite a few structural changes. In this video, we’ll show you some before and after photos and videos from our two cruises aboard the Triumph and the Sunrise.

It's amazing what they did with that ship 🚢 I never sailed on the Triump but seen the old pictures. Though having sailed on the Sunrise and seeing the old photos, Carnival definitely did a wonderful job transforming the ship to what it is today.

Sailed this ship 2 weeks ago and I loved it. I hope when they dry dock the ships in the conquest class again that they upgrade them to this modern style decor. That class could really use an upgrade lol

Wow they massacred that theater!!!
Pretty dirty now. Am on the Sunrise right now and the upholstery on this ship is filthy and cushions on chairs are mashed down. Pretty disgusting. I wiped down the vinyl couch in the stateroom and the Lysol wipes I used turned black with dirt -- even after using 3 wipes. Pretty gross. Sat on towels for most of this trip. 🤢
Wow! That was definitely not our experience. We recommend you reach out to the ship's Guest Services while you're on board so they have an opportunity to correct the situation.
@@TheJellyBeans it's throughout the ship. The pale blue chairs near the alchemy bar are stained beige from dirt and mashed down. Just gross. I will mention something to guest services,but I'm sure my observations will be met with blank states just as my refund for prepaid cucina reservations haven't been credited to my account after 3 days. Just a cluster.
Everything looks pretty from a distance until you get up to it and see how filthy and worn out it is. Eck.

@@shand8044 It was. I was on that ship 13 months prior and it was like a different ship. I guess the lack of manpower has had a negative effect. Hope they can do some deep cleaning before another refurbishment.
I feel like they removed all the colours of that ship 🥲 everything is beige and white now
