You fast from ANYTHING that takes precedence over the Lord. And for someone that eats only one small meal a day, and eats one fruit for breakfast (myself) there isn't much food fasting you can do...........of course you fast from food, but also activities , hobbies, etc.....fast and seek . Spiritual fasting is not just refraining from food.......but self sacrifice to things in your life to seek the Lord in it's place. He has specifically asked me to fast from my piano and music to seek him more, and it's been amazing!
