    Question: Do elements need to be of same length? For e.g. in our current scenario, if the thickness of copper wire is 3mm and the thickness of 1st plastic insulation is 2mm and 2nd insulation is 4mm, then how would you integrate this variation of elements' lengths in the equation?

      No! it's not necessary, element sizes can be different. This is called biasing.

      You are probably getting confused between element length vs. material length. It is possible to choose different or same element lengths, and this is included within the differential equation shown in the previous lecture, i.e., the _k * r_ term, where _r_ represents the radial distance. Hope this helps.
