This is the actual alternative ending
Yes! This would have changed everything. People would have talked about that last 3 seconds more than the entire movie itself. It would have explained everything. His super human ability and uncontrollable urge to kill. His connection to the mask. And it would have left it open for more "Halloween" anthologies, which was John Carpenter's intentions originally.
Right? Another series with the Shamrock company, maybe Cochrane's descendant running it but its actually him.
But he had the urge to kill when he was 6, it wouldn’t have explained his urge to kill or his super human ability. He killed people before even wearing the mask and had freakish strength without it.

That would've been a great ending. A lot of fans want a connection with Halloween 3.
Technically they got them in ( I believe?) Halloween Kills.
You were shown a playground scene with I think the skull & pumpkin mask worn by dead children corpses & somewhere else, you had the witch mask as well.

The original Halloween movie appeared on TV in Halloween III. So basically it was established that Myers was fictional in that universe. So doing a connection now would definitely be awesome, but still weird with continuity.

@@cristiancorroy3473 It would mean Michael's mask was created by Silver Shamrock, the company from Halloween III. Then it opens up all sorts of things: does it give Michael his power, is this why he can't be killed easily, etc.

I actually had this idea for over 10 years. The Silver Shamrock would have been experimenting with hypnosis and manipulation. The first test subject would have been the person who put on the mask with the clown suit that Michael's parents just happen to buy him. Thus the mask, like the One Ring from LotR, would call Michael and do it's bidding. This of course would still send Michael in a state of mental decline and when he escapes back to Haddonfield, he selects another Silver Shamrock mask which we know of as The Shape.
There's a ton of ideas here and possibilities, love it!
Michael died and let’s not bring him back to life because we all know what happened when resurrection came out

@@thecivilian1083 Oh definitely. I think another reboot would have to happen. Another remake of the first but instead of treading over the same water, this is how I would approach it.
It opens with a functional, happy family (unlike Rob Zombie's trailer trash family) and it's maybe 3 days prior to Halloween. The family is at a Halloween store and is picking out costumes for Michael. There is this simple clown costume and Michael likes it. He doesn't like to go overboard for the holiday.
His parents bring him to the checkout line. The cashier acts like he's never seen this costume and it wouldn't scan in the system. He gets the manager who is just as puzzled. They never received any of these. He just chalks it up to a shipping mistake and just gives it away on the house to keep less paperwork to fill out on his nightly reports.
It would later be revealed the costume was placed there discretely by a Silver Shamrock associate. They would pick a small, quiet Midwest town to do their experiment to avoid national coverage and possibly federal investigation.
Anyway, Michael comes home. The mask has a GPS tracker so Silver Shamrock would know which house to send a hypnotic commercial on Halloween night, where we know he kills his sister. It basically goes from there and the spin in this reboot is that Loomis is not only following Michael, but he's uncovering the secrets of Silver Shamrock. Loomis is like Mulder uncovering an X-File in which no one believes him. This hunt will eventually lead him to losing his license, as Silver Shamrock has pretty powerful people working for them. And this would unravel more in the sequels and not solely rely on Michael Myers as the driving force, but Dr. Loomis and put him in other mysteries revolving around the holiday. It's almost like a slasher/mystery genre. It's a fresh enough idea to get people reinvested while at the same time pay respect to the original foundation.

If this did happen, would Michael's original Clown mask be included?
The other part with the Silver Shamrock company is how did they develop their masks to basically kill whomever & fill them with whatever creepy crawlies yet, if they do this with either Michael's iconic Shatner Mask or his as a child clown one, how did he 1- stay alive & not become infested internally by whatever creepy crawlies that could've been?
I know in Halloween Kills, you get the 3 "Season of The Witch" masks featured as children who were killed ( by who or what isn't answered?) So, yeah, there's where this could pick up from, but, the whole idea has to be developed better.
On 1 hand, The MKUltra - sequel programming to buy the masks is a cool concept but interlacing it somehow with Irish Folklore might be better if better subject material is there.

The sequel could be called season of the mask but that wouldn’t really fit with how they only added one word to the movie titles

Mind Blown. That would have explained EVERYTHING about Michael, it would have set everything up for a sequel and it would have made everyone cheer at the end. We need youtubers like you to be in the movie industry. screw all these film makers.

Halloween 3 season of the witch will always be the #1 most underrated under appreciated cult classic/horror movie
One of the things i don't like of many fans of the halloween franchise is that they don't like season of the witchs Just because there is no Michael myers. Just like halloween (well he is but you know what i mean)
This would have forgiven the near 2 hours before it… absolutely incredible.

No it wouldn’t explain anything because 6 year old micheal was wearing a clown mask to kill older sister. He was evil even before putting on a mask. It sounds like an interesting link to silver shamrock but unfortunately he was murderer way before he broke into the hardware store and picked up a knife , rope and a Halloween mask ….sheriff bracket 😂

Unless they made a tie in with a "limited edition" clown mask... Michael put on that mask as a kid and it led him to kill his sister...

Michael always felt robotic to me. I prefer him just being the ethereal bogeyman BUT, an alternate universe version of him being a kill bot that escaped Cochran's factory has always been intriguing and would explain his unstoppable nature. He'd be like the Terminator.

Subtle yet very effective! I like it. Totally adds a new layer for the audience to interpret. I’m a huge Halloween series fan who knows all the timelines and have an appreciation for what Carpenter tried to do with the original part 3. Thank you for this!

To explain the Halloween 1 ad in Halloween 3, you could just say its an in-universe ad for a movie "based on true events" of michael myers.

I love this ending, this is how the film should have ended because let's be honest, this is in no way shape or form going to be the end of this franchise. The Silver Shamrock logo is an implication as to why Michael was so powerful, and offers insight into why he was so desperate to keep his mask on. It also lends itself to furthering the story. Maybe Michael is dead but what if someone else were to get ahold of one of these silver shamrock masks, and a new "Shape" is born. Also it would kind of explain why Corey suddenly became more powerful once dawning the mask. In any case I have to say I wish they would have ended the film this way as opposed to the way they did.
Fantastic ideas here and exactly what we were thinking. Michael should ultimately be evil, regardless of the mask or not. BUT the mask could be what enhances the evil and provides the power. Maybe there were four masks: a Pumpkin, a Witch, a Skeleton and a prototype that disappeared called The Boogeyman.

Despite many times I've heard it's non canon mess when i was watching series i watched that one too. And you know what? It's been great!
Also it made sense with Halloween 6 bc Toymaker would've been yet another Reaper just like Michel

Heck yes! Would explain a bit why anyone who puts it on also goes evil. Ultimately Michael should be evil but the mask being manufactured by Shamrock adds a whooooole other layer to everything in this series.

I believe early drafts actually dealt with Michael's mask being made by the Silver Shamrock company and confirming Michael's strengths thanks to their control. And confirming that Halloween III is also canon to the new trilogy.
That's pretty wild it got that far. We thought there was a possibility for it but would have never assumed any actual consideration.

Man, I would have lost my mind if this had been the actual ending.
If they did this ending for the actual movie even if the zoom in to the mask and shamrock logo were in silence with no music then faded to black I bet lots of people would have cheered.
Conal Cochran is the TRUE villain of Halloween.
That’s what I wanted throughout the film.
They are definitely going to remake Halloween 3 at some point soon.
When the intro credits came up, I thought for a moment "Hmm.. okay what if it's gonna end with the Shamrock logo revealed inside the mask?"

No because Michael was evil before wearing the mask. Watch H78 how Loomis speaks about him. It have nothing to do with a mask and this ending would be just another stupid twist like the thorn trilogy.

You know this idea isnt too far off from what was supposed to be the final shot of the film. It was originally meant to cut to a factory spitting out the silver shamrock masks then a micheal myeres mask with the logs and everything. Hinting that the shamrock was behind everything even the events of 3 despite it being highly improbable

I applaud you 👏 🙌 What a simple yet absolutely genius idea that people who are paid 6 figures and more couldn't come up with. This would have been an absolutely incredible ending SOTW needs to be brought back into the franchise and there are plenty of very decent film makers who could do it.
People would have walked out the theatre just stunned haha
@@hereliesdotcom it would have been a hugely redeeming factor for a movie that was so divisive. I honestly have no idea what they were thinking when they came up with the idea that Myers should be a supporting character in his own franchise and don't even get me started on the whole Corey taking down Michael and stealing his mask. Him walking around with it afterwards reminded me of Ben Tramer before he met his demise.
Practically that was the intention in Kills or Ends alternative ending
Kills it was supposed to shown a scene with Lindsey during the river, she swam to the other side of the river, Michael stands there, stalking at her and after a second of blinking, Michael was behind her and there is a fight, where she understands that Michael can't swim or is afraid of it, that why he is protecting from the water during the firefight with the hose.
Also in the original ending i think the victims with the shamrock masks were the 3 kids, and was intented to be a message to Shamrock like "You don't have now control over me"
And finally in Ends it was supposed to add a Michael Myers corpse pinned as an scarecrow, and end credits shows someone retrieve his mask and reveals a shamrock logo inside it (We need to remember, he stole it from a market) and IT could be a better idea, why Corey snapped quickly.
I never disaggred Shamrock being involved of controlling certain killers with masks

This is awesome but at the same time I want that mystery of why Michael was the way he was and it to never be explained, really cool though I would love to see Season of the Witch explored more but just leave any connections to Michael out.

That would’ve been an excellent twist! Why didn’t they go with this ending? For Halloween Ends, it seems as if the filmmakers did everything in their power to make it as weak as possible. So sad.
Thanks! Per industry standard, there's a lot of different voices that go into these decisions and often do not reflect the writer or director or even producers. Sometimes though, it sounds better on paper and perhaps this was an instance of that.

have taken it all and dialed things up to 100. What an incredible finish to this trilogy. I would absolutely buy a version of this movie with this ending.

In the end, it all makes perfect sense. Michael Myers was assimilated by Silver Shamrock Novelties as a prime candidate and they flipped him at some point between 1963-1978 to what we know him as now.
It would be crazy if at the end of the movie it would zoom in on the mask and Michael would be breathing in the background
Well he was just a little bit in this version, but he still was able to do a few, it was faint but it was there, who else would it be??
