I really hope this game is good. I bought Odyssey and I enjoyed it for quite a while, but the world felt empty to a degree. Not only that, but I wasn't that pleased with the weapons and equipment system. I hope they make the world feel more lived-in, with lots of things to do. Lots of side quests that aren't just 'go to place, kill people or a bear or some shit, get some weirdos' grandfather's necklace and give it back to them'. It wasn't only the side quests, though. Everything just felt so empty. It's not a game where you can go and explore and find interesting things to do and see.

Remember, Vikings were raiding for valuables and slaves. Taking a long time to just slaughter everything they came across instead of just doing what they came for what not only be a waste of their time, but give far more time for the places they were raiding to mount an offense

I do in fact think they're gonna take that approach with the Vikings and Saxons neither being all good nor all evil only human...I hope that's the case at least because that's the truth of these cultures and would allow for a very intriguing story to be told.

Heluva lot of English, Scottish and Irish coastal cities have Viking origins and domains they set up in France, Italy and Russia were super successful) nor Alfred the Great was as goody-good saintly-saint person as depicted in Victorian historiography. But i bet they'll still oversimplify historical setting as they did with Peloponnesian War in Odyssey.

Just one note "we'll banish them to valhalla" doesn't really make sense because valhalla is essentially the viking heaven preserved for only the greatest warriors, you wouldn't be banished their you would ascend their. Great song though.
