Great explanation! I have a tuya water or gas valve device which mechanically operates valves For some reason this device only works with the gateway And i found the schedule option did not work at all when the device is offline. Meaning with no internet. Although the gateway should be online 😞 But the circulation option seems to work...at least sometimes😅 I just wanted to turn on the valve 2 hours every day then close it. But its hard to monitor since its not online unless i bring my mobile phone internet around it However my neighbor said it worked for a while until i changed the circulation settings.
Devices which are connected with the gateway are not that consistent.. as far as remember they don't give you exact values for on or off... I have a fingerbot which also connected with the gateway.. that is also not consistent.. you can try one thing ... if you restart your gateway every 24 hours then you might get better results..
@@myzingonline thank you brother for your reply This is a ZigBee wifi valve which is indeed difficult to use with tuya. It absolutely needs a ZigBee gateway to connect to it for some reason. I had to spend a lot of money to make it work. Sometimes I have to delete the device to change the schedule by adding it again I discovered that the schedule must be run one time while device is online so the schedule is uploaded to the device's memory at the START of schedule So I used circulate and your tips (only 11 hours seems because too many schedules are created if you chose too many hours and low minutes intervals but I'm not sure...) I think it may work offline now but it takes days to test PS it's an irrigation system and please stay in touch to help each other
Actually with my experience more than 12 hour circulate function don't work at all not sure what is the cause of it I have run many combination to make it work and that is the only option which works 80 to 90% of the time.. but these test results are for Wi-Fi plug only.. I haven't tested any schedule for zigbee base device as I don't have any.. I guess you need to keep changing the values and tested
But if I were you I would have never gone with hub type devices as they don't give real time feedback of on and off... I think you need to go with some direct Wi-Fi type valve plug which can actually give you feedback of on and off . That's a straight forward one all you need to do is add the duration for the switch to be on.. so basically switch will be on for that particular duration of time and the days define on it...
Inside random option I set start time as 11:00PM and end time as 05:00 and selected all days. In this case plug was suppose to ON @11PM and OFF@05AM right?
It means that end duration is a sort of break here your device will start at 12.32 am and at 1.32am it will stop for 15 minutes and start again after 15 minutes and the pattern will go on till 10.59 is that so?
I have just tested it.. by turning off my router.. and it turns out to be true.. it will work even if your internet is not working.. so basically.. circulate setting will be saved inside the plug not on the cloud.. but do mind that it needs to be plugged in all the time to the electricity.. in order to retain.. the settings..
I'm not very good at English, please help, friend. If I want to activate the smart plug at 3 pm and turn it off at 7 pm how do I do it? I want every day to be like that, please help. starttime=? end time=? start duration=? end duration=?
You can use random function and set start time 3 pm and end time to 7 pm.. select days according to requirment... Select all days if wanted to run on daily basis..
@@myzingonline thanks Where is that option? I just got the app ... For the moment i set a Timer/ Schedule with a on time and an off time. That s not the correct way? It to start a lamp outside
It can be achieved.. using tap to run option .. all you need to do this 1.create tap to run automation .. and at task to turn it on wait for 8 second and then turn it off... 2. You need to create an automation and add your schedule time 5:30 a.m. 1:00 a.m. In if conditions.. then add your tap to automation scene inside IN section..
Tha labeling is not a smart one, this way I can understand now. Thx. The start duration and end duration is not what is should be, both naming and meaning. That is basicly the on and off intervals. This is exactly what I need, to set on a pump for 6 min, then wait for 20 min.

Hi brother, can you let me know the smart plug brand that yiu are using gor this circulate option
They are from generic brand here in India goes by the name seco, Zebronics, Zoook.

Is there a way to set it so it will only be on a few seconds at specific times every day?
Can you give any example what you wants to achieve?
I need to activate a device for 8 seconds 5 times a day: at 5:30am, at 9am, at 1pm and at 7pm
It can be achieved.. using tap to run option .. all you need to do this
1.create tap to run automation .. and at task to turn it on wait for 8 second and then turn it off...
2. You need to create an automation and add your schedule time 5:30 a.m. 1:00 a.m.
