@ I love Platoon too. I’m biased when it comes to Vietnam War films. I never like to say I have a “ favorite” war. Instead I say that the Vietnam War is the most fascinating to me. We need another Vietnam War movie. Ken Burns documentary is fantastic.
I'm seeing it. Wasn't blown away by the trailer. But since I missed DR and Fallout in theaters. This is a chance to see the end of the Hunt saga in my Adult age. I was 15 when the first one came out. Long time fan of this franchise.
They never blow their wad on the first trailer, James. Neither did McQuarrie blow his wad on part one. There's bound to be craziness to come. Will be sad to see this series come to an "end" having seen every part in the cinema since 1996.
The only way this can end is if Rebecca Ferguson pops out alive as the endless calculating enigma box machine has counted her out prematurely. Come on, Mission Impossible are masters at faking death.
Trailer felt impact-less. Yes, impressive stunts. But it’s like CGI. When there’s an overload of impressive stunts I start to get numb. There was no story point “hook”. Bonus: The previous movie was weird because they were fighting to get to an AI that was trapped in a submarine… but the AI was already out in the open controlling things.
Dead Reckoning was pretty woke and Ethan was a supersimp. Trailer is boring. Tom Cruise is too old for that hairstyle. He is looking old enough they should consider de-aging
Tom Cruise departing the mortal realm by being sucked into the sun is actually the only end worthy of such a legend.
Amen
Or now that he's working with SpaceX, he might want to take a one way trip to Mars and make the first movie at that location, lol.
@@geekinwithJamesHancock I'm down for that!
A blend of badass stunts and wickedly devised spy craft will send this franchise into the annals of film history nicely
tom cruise always delivers
love seeing anything hes in especially in the cinema
Magnolia is one if his most beautiful performances.
It looks extra gorgeous this time 🥳
Dont know why, but it is 🤷🏼♂️
Trailer is alright , but shots are gorgeous
I feel the same way. Looks stunning but feels a bit like a glorified montage instead of a dynamic trailer.
I’m there!!!!!
Same. IMAX all the way.
Collateral was John Wick's daddy! But tbh, I don't think I've ever been really that excited about any of these mission impossible movies.
Still rooting for an Edge of Tomorrow sequel.
That would be killer but I suspect Cruise will shoot his flick in space first. Very curious to see what insanity they get up to with that one.
My Born on the Fourth of July 4K just arrived in the mail.
Hell yeah. Strong contender for Oliver Stone's best flick but I also love JFK, Platoon and Salvador.

Perfectly fine trailer. Hope they get back to breaking into heavily secured facilities instead of the "big stunt". I'll be there for sure.
Agreed. At their best, the MI franchise always give us incredible heist sequences like in De Palma's original.

This one will do better becuz it has a 3 week stranglehold on IMAX screens
That's huge. These movies are tailor-made for that format.
I'm looking forward to this (Haven't seen Dead Reckoning yet) but I worry this is going to tank big time given the budget.
This trailer has me jacked. Can't wait to see this one.
Strong contender for one of the biggest blockbusters of 2025.

Im not blown away by the trailer, unlike the last two Mission films.......whats missing?
I forsee lots of tweets about this movie when a particular someone finds out about casting.
James how is the Empire of the vampire so far?

Losin' It from 1983 is not bad. It’s got Jackie Earle Haley in it too, not bad but nothing special. It’s free on Tubi, so why not right?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
Indeed, lol
Fuck me...but thats a great Trailer
the trailer is a bit meh ... but I'm still in
I hope Final Reckoning is a step up form Dead Reckoning, that was just Mission impossible by numbers and rather boring.

I don't know man, I'm not feelin' it. The underwater / CGI stuff suffocates.
This looks terrible. The trailer is overly sentimental to he point of nausea.
This shit is gonna be awesome but also bittersweet as it seems to be the end of the line for this crew we love. Can’t wait for this one
