I'd suggest reporting that puzzle buyer for abuse of the return system. That was what the eBay rep advised me to do when I had a suspicious return where I'm pretty sure the buyer did a switcheroo. The item I received back was not what I sent them. I don't support doing free returns. Buyers are learning that returns aren't free, as even the big retailers are cutting back on giving customers free return shipping.
Oh yes and for Mercari I also start higher on price and do price drops and offers. This also helps with getting it seen elsewhere I think too as sometimes the item will sell on Ebay or Posh shortly after price drops on Mercari!
Lovely sales! I sold 3 of the same things you did....too funny! That Folkmanis cub puppet is the sweetest! I think I like Mercari's new fee schedule coming in January. I used to have spurts of good sales there before the most recent changes so going to keep going with it. New fee will be 10% flat and no charge for direct deposit for seller and I think was something like 3.6% fee for buyer.
That is crazy for a return like that. This isn’t Amazon and I don’t offer free returns anymore, was contemplating doing free returns since I’m top rated but with 50+ returns, my benefit would be eaten.
As an avid puzzler, it seems insane to purchase a second puzzle to harvest pieces from it. If I had a puzzle with missing pieces at home, I would throw it away. I don't try donate them or get the missing pieces. I would for sure dispute that one.
I think she should. She sold it as complete. It was not marketed for parts or repair. Therefore, there's no need to guarantee that the puzzle you sold is from a particular lot that will fit another. I don't think I've heard anything more ridiculous. ...at least lately 😂
To do well on Mercari you start out high, drop prices and make offers and then you will get sales. Not as good as last year I don't think a buyer should pay to buy something. Its just not right. The return buyer would be blocked. I no longer do free returns.
I had a return where buyer said not as described so they would get their orig shipping refunded but The item is as described so I called ebay and the rep told me to appeal. But When I got the item back there was no place to appeal it on ebay. I refunded the sale price but deducted the orig shipping from my refund amount. Then ebay took the return shipping amount from my money and gave it to the customer. I called ebay again and they told me I should have also deducted that amount from the refund BUT it was not on the refund detail page so was not able to deduct it.. Apparently when customer says not as described the seller has to refund orig postage, return postage AND the sale price. Now the refund still shows open. I dont know what to do at this point, I feel ebay screwed me on this return.
I know how you feel. I had a buyer lie about parts missing and post a dark picture of her sitting on the floor making a stupid face with the box opened. She hadn't even taken the product out of the box or took the rubber band off of it yet. I don't know how eBay thought that the picture was "evidence" of anything. Now I have another buyer trying to get a refund lying that the package was lost and the post office didn't deliver yet. Bunch of thieves.
If the package shows delivered, have the buyer open a case with eBay. eBay will ask for the tracking info and once you upload that, the case will be decided in your favor. -Robert
If the buyer uses the not as described reason, it's tougher for sellers to defend themselves. I would call eBay back to make sure the refund shows closed so they don't get involved which could result in a defect on your account. And maybe you'll get a rep that will help you get your shipping money back. -Robert
I am the buyer who bought the last 3 piece snoopy ornament lot. I love your videos & love my new snoopy ornaments. They are hanging on the tree!
I would love to watch you and Robert live and unedited 🙂LOL You two always make me smile

Love your videos! You and Robert always make me laugh.
12:18 that makes zero sense. Why wouldn’t they just keep the completed puzzle from you and throw away their incomplete one
The friend we've talked to locally about it have all said the same thing. It makes no sense.
@ Definitely doesn’t.. scammers im sure

Thanks Rebel and Robert!
Part out the pieces of the broken fan! I sold a pull for one for $10 awhile back. The sconces will sell too- maybe even the blades.
I ve bought fan blades for craft products. There are several things you can make with them, including a butterfly
Thank You!!! Great info as always!
You two are amazing!😊
Nice sales! Did you do a video on your CT trip? Wondering where you shopped?
They put the puzzle together and had to have a reason to return it.
Congrats on your sales Happy Holiday!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you 🐝🤟🏼
Thank You!

Great video
Easter blow mold. = ' make it gone' 😂
You should report the buyer for abuse of the return system. I've had Ebay tell me to report buyers a few times.

Hello you 2
Hi Sheri!
I guarantee you’re gonna get the puzzle back and you’re gonna be missing pieces
I'm certain you're right.
Ridiculous return. I wish you could share the name so that I could block them. I hate that they get away with it. Thanks!
People can be and do disgusting stuff
