Marquis Bieshaar This has been taken from the Marston Records 6-CD set "Jorge Bolet, Volume 2 - Ambassador from the Golden Age" (Marston 56003-2). Full listing of contents here; this is a treasure trove of Bolet live and at his greatest and a must-buy for anyone interested in the piano repertoire: marstonrecords.com/bolet2/bolet2_tracks.htm

Very sad that JB wasted so much time with fifth-rate stuff like this and Schulz-Evler's "Danube". I suppose he found them pianistically irrestitible. Maybe they are. But musically - dull affairs indeed! Even the greatest performance can't really rectify this.

this is a cringe take. Godowsky transcriptions like this one are on par w Liszt’s, brother!
