There were more innings played (1 game) at Seattle than at Houston (2 games) 18 vs 17.5. Also the Mariners were leading more innings than the Astros in the series, yet the Astros swept them. Baseball is a weird beautiful sport.

As an Astros fan, I’m glad they won but I feel for Mariners fans. They stayed all 18 inning for their team only for them to come out with a loss. Respect to them. And to the Mariners, they were a great opponent. I see big things for them in the future. It’s not their time now. Go ‘Stros!

As an Astros fan, this is the first game that I prayed for anyone to score a run for the game to be over. I stop watching after the 14th inning. I had other things to do lol
I had a look. The top post season games with longest scoreless innings were all in the 2000's except one. It's become too hard to make contact or land a hit. Mlb half heartedly addressing this issue come next season.

In the top of the 18th, the shift didn't work for the Mariners when Bregman was batting. If the Mariners played the defense straight up (which MLB teams have to now) Bregman would have been an easy out at 1st base.
