Imagine the trade action if you could trade players for draft picks!!! MLB has to change this in the next CBA. Would Cleveland give up the #1 pick for Mike Trout, how about the Cards@7 pick, Phillies 27th pick? See what I’m talking about? It’s always about hope and a quicker rebuild for bottom dwellers

Draft picks in baseball don't matter as much as they do in the NFL or NBA.
top 3 rounds of college players are more show ready. Their training facilities training techniques, training measuring tools are sometimes better than minor league organization's. It's happening, which actuallymay hurt veteran players jobs.

I’m kinda surprised no one’s talking about the nationals signing Soto this offseason. It’s not far fetched at all. They’ve dealt with Boras many times. They have money. There set up to start buying free agents to compete right away. Sotos been there. He’s performed extremely well there. They offered big money already.

Speaking of cardinals and bad luck trading outfielders. Adolis Garcia is another outfielder they traded. Luke Voigt another. (He was a big bat for a little while). All these outfielders along with the ones mentioned were in there system at same time.
He sounds so much like Adam Schefter, similar mannerisms and stuff too. It’s like sports media made him and Ken in a lab
The Orioles have the farm prospects to pry closer Mason Miller from the sad sack A’s.
They won't give up what Oakland will be asking. They're not giving up Mayo or Basallo or Kjerstad for a guy who has thrown brilliantly for 37 innings. New management or not, this is still a conservative front office.

Everyone forgets the only reason Jazz played second base is because Miguel Rojas was at short. No reason he shouldn't be able to play the position he played the most in the minors.

Ryan McMahon would be great but unlikely. Luis Rengifo seems like one of those moves that would implode on the Yankees. Maybe Luis Garcia of the nationals? Idk
You’d be giving up a ton for that
Bullpen help to that extent would be great, but I believe the Yankees can only add maybe an arm or two to the bullpen because the major need they have is infield help. They can’t really afford to use assets to improve areas of the team that don’t address that weakness. At least in theory.
The Yankees are in a really weird position this deadline. On one hand you have to try to improve because this may be the only year you have both Judge and Soto. However, you also can’t really mortgage your future because this may be the only year you have Soto.
The Yankees have a ton of solid relievers on the mend (Effros, Hamilton, Travino, Brubaker, burdi).
They also have Dominguez and Berti on the mend for IF and OF.
Most are coming back in the next 10-30 days. Question is, who do you get and who do you give up?
@@elshem122 injuries are unfortunately part of the game. When those players come back there is nothing saying somebody else won’t get hurt. The best course of action would be to trade for at least a second or third basemen, preferably both, DFA DJ and trade Gleyber Torres. As for the bullpen, a good lefty would help a lot.
Unfortunately I have zero faith in the Yankees to actually get rid of the dead weight on the team to open up the positions for better players.
MLB has seen massive numbers of pitcher injuries and a lot of position players hitting below average. Some team is going to make a trade based on a name instead of current production. Every team wants help...The level of help available is way lower this year. The teams that make the playoffs are the ones that find a way to stay healthy or just get lucky. Once the playoffs begin, it's all about short-season adrenalin. Who can get hot for a couple weeks? Look at last year's playoffs.
