Fun reaction, thank you. The room in the middle section of the video (Mirror in the front and white walls) is their actual rehearsal room. They regularly post pictures on their social media that are taken from this place.
And the ladies at least play all piano, but Miyako the dark haired guitarist is on another level, she calls herself piano as her first instrument, not guitar. She also plays Keyboards/Keytar, Bass, some drums and is not bad at singing.
Fami the bassist also plays guitar, keyboards and sings on her solo album.

All musicians are making no mistakes in a complex composition with many complicated segways, and that live. Maybe it is just so Ingo that you like and admire some other kind of music and/or skills? And that is fine. But even then it is a good trait to be able to appreciate skills, even if you do not like it.

This song was written at a time when the restrictions on events by COVID in Japan had not been lifted. Vocalist Asami came up with the lyrics so that she could sing it with her fans when the restrictions were lifted. Then, after the restrictions were lifted, their revival concert was held.
Before performing the song, Asami asked the audience 'Now, we're going to test you to see if you've done your prep work properly with our CD.'

In Japan it is common place that musicians can play or are well versed in other instruments. Japan is heavily into art, music and performance and it is emphasized in their schools early and often. Its no surprise the musicianship is off the charts in many Japanese bands across differing genre's. The True Surprise for Many of us is that Women appear too be leading this massive musical resurgence that Lovebites is a part of. The amount of Bad Ass Women bands and acts is frankly quite enormous. After you run through more Lovebites try and give a listen to Nemophilia, Asterism, Bridear,Aldious,BandMaid,Doll$Box,Trident,Hanabie,etc.... Trust me you two will be in Awe.

You should check out the other sides of their music. Try their live video "Swan song" with Chopin intro. It is not on their official UA-cam channel, but it is easy to find on UA-cam.

Not ony do they seem to be incredible friends, but this particular combination as musicians puts them in a bar setting position in terms of how they approach the genres they work with. The more you listen to their work the greater the sense that they have mastered the dual art of homage and understanding of the elements they work with, and an ability to bring their character to their songs and liver performances.
Miyako Watanabe is the woman known for her multi instrument talent. To see some of her piano skills would be to look at songs such as "Swan Song"m the acoustic rendition of "Rising", a little set of rock/metal covers she has compiled as piano performances. Her keyboard talents are peppered across a multitude of their songs.
I seem to remember discovering them on my path of curiosity through BAND MAID, although my roots for interest in J-Rock go back to the early 00's with the likes of POLYSICS (a band I can't believe I've actually seen live here in the UK in the smallest of venues.. on the night you would've been driving right past it and not even know they were playing.. we're talking chalkboard name on a board outside the pub venue in Manchester, for an international Japanese electro punk rock band!). I digress though.. Lovebites are as solid a band as you could ever hope to see and although they've played a few times here in th UK I only discovered them at about the same time they last played here (which I believe was Nov 2019, mere months before Covid came knocking on our doors). I'm hopeful that I'll get to see them one day. In the meantime there's a wealth of live material to see and enjoy, andI hope the two of you will enjoy it too!

The background vocals came from the other band members. The song was designed to have the audience join them and sing with them, which they did when they performed this live recently.
The backing vocals in the chorus was all Asami, the gang vocals were the entire band.

Lovebites came back from their long hiatus better than ever. Asami's vocals are stronger, M&M are faster, Haruna, my favorite drummer just a bundle of joy and energy and the new bassist Fami shows that she was the right choice. Great song and video.

【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】
When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience.
Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus.
Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means.
For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult.
From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver.
"Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!"
Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king.
Asami wanted to avoid that.
Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver.
Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning.
Stand up and be free!
Rise up and be free!
Arise and be free!
Let's get up and be free!
From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics.
Nothing satisfies me.
It's boring to be like this every day!
Let's go more bouncy!
Let's be bold and do something different!
Let's break out of our shell!
P.S.
The mic stand setting that Miyako(G-Piano-Black hair) used was too high for Asami(Vo).
Haruna(Dr) imitated the guitar work of Miyako & Midori's solo performance of "Signs of Deliverence" at the live concert.
Haruna may have been watching from the drum position and thought it was cool.

But I am sure that if you continue your journey into the World of LOVEBITES, these ladies will pleasantly surprise you many more times. I've been listening to hard rock, metal, and classical music for many years. Three years ago, for the first time (by accident!) I saw a video from LOVEBITES concerts on UA-cam. The songs were 'Thunder Vengeance' and 'Rising'. I was so amazed (bitten very hard) by these ladies that I started listening to other LOVEBITES songs. And for three years now, LOVEBITES has been #1 on the list of my favorite bands.
I personally listen to melodic, death, symphonic, power, industrial goth metal and rock. A little dark wave as well. I don't listen to pop or techno anymore but I don't mind if the metal has pop or electronic influences. Lovebites is a new find for us so we will continue this journey. 😊

Just curious, what type of song would get a "10 Marshall stacks" rating? Because chances are, Lovebites has something like that in their catalogue of songs.
The fanbase is very loyal, well that fits for nearly each Heavy Metal Band.
Big difference is ...they are female and their positive vibes are highly contagious.

In a time where you was like a pariah if you had long hairs, a patch jacket and listening to heavy metal.
Each time had its own phenomenally talented musicians, each decade has its own WTF-Bands, especially here in Germany.
Listen to Equilibriums *Sagas* or Helloweens *Walls of Jericho* and *Keeper of the 7 keys*. Different decades, masterpieces of their time.
If you replace our 5 princesses with 5 random man you`ll still have talented musicians, but maybe not the positive vibes and just another Dragonforce clone.
As an example, Unleash the Archers, similar phenomenal talented and technically on a similar level, but so underrated that it hurts.
Man, back in the 80th, that was a blast. Before and aftershowparties with the guys from several bands, with gigs for 100 ppl and a ticket for ~10€.
And today the play festivals in front of 80000 like Wacken. :)

I also like Band Maid, Wagakki Band and sometimes Baby Metal. There is something special with japanse metal.
And i`m learning japanese. Who knows, maybe we see Lovebites next year in germany and i wanna be prepared. :D
Miyako can play a number of instruments very well. Several of them can play piano well. Asami plays piano in at least one video. But in general they do not play many instruments well.
Fami also is not too bad in playing guitar and keyboards

I just found this a few minutes ago (so maybe everybody already knows?), but it was announced last month that our favorite shredders have been confirmed booked for next year's ProgPower Festival in Atlanta GA, Friday Sept. 6 2024. It wouldn't be totally unreasonable to assume this is part of a full USA tour, would it? Details?
We just found that out too, and we hope there will be a full blown US tour as well. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Fun reaction. For reference, what song(s) do you consider a 10? Will give others an idea of music more is nearest and dearest to you heart. Nothing wrong with 9.0 and 8.5, just curious. Sometimes reactors will give a song a lower score simply because it isn't music they generally listen to, yet they don't tell you, and some fans will get offended just by the score.
