- A video of me assembling the 1986 Cobra Terror Drome for the first time! I will be doing a full review later. Also, I will be doing a separate video review of the Firebat and AVAC pilot.

Thanks! I'll admit, even with the instructions it was pretty tough putting it back together. The original owner put the stickers on, he must have been one patient kid!
I have one of these and I walk on pins and needles around it because it is VERY fragile. I cringe when you snap the doors and platforms in place. I am very amazed at how well the decals held up to the cleaning in the bath tube.
There are two: CobraStickers (which have pre-cut stickers that are computer generated, but very nice) and RattlerRepros (you have to cut them out yourself, but they are exact copies of original sheets).
If it has the Firebat and AVAC pilot and no discoloration (upper level white plastic and lower level grey doors can get yellowed), then $250 is the maximum its worth. I'd still try to bargain it down to $200 if possible.
I am from India and I'm a post collector of GIJOE. I'm mesmerized after see your arsenal. I wish to see the debris of toys.
Because as a child during playing I used break them, but when I became older, I realize that I can fix them, and after that I've found a new avatar of GIJOE and that seems interesting to me. I know you are quite protective as your toys are in quite great condition, but if you have any debris, I wish to see them.
I remember getting this when i was a kid. It was in Singapore, late 90s. I think it was for 200 or 400 dollars, i forgot. It was a blast playing it :P
I wanted this so bad! Still do! Incidentally, Kevin, I grew up in a town called Ajax in Ontario Canada. I can attest to the fact that this item was indeed rare in Canada, but my friend Ian, who was spoiled rotten, had this. We used to have so many battles and scenarios with this. FUN! Maybe one day I'll own a mint or mint in sealed box version.
So exciting to see this playset again! Looking forward to seeing more soon.
I don't think there is a black version of this playset. Its possible the dark blue parts further darkened in the sunlight to near-black or the store displayed a playset from another toyline.
The Terror Drome is such a great base. I still have mine from when I was a kid, but it's in terrible shape. A lot of the parts are really fragile and didn't stand up very well to the abuse dished out by my friends and I.

This is one of my favorite bases. I have 3, and just bought the Kreo terror drome.
As a kid, I would always look at the "No smoking armaments" signs on the Terrordome walls and thought "Cobra Commander doesn't like cigarettes? So he has no problem killing Joes, blowing up government buildings and causing mass mayhem, but if someone lights up a smoke around him, he goes ballistic on them???". As a kid, I always pictured Baroness with one of those long thin fancy cigarettes (she seems like the type that would smoke those) and Cobra Commander giving her a lecture on lung cancer.
This is so cool! Reminds me of my childhood when I put these things together. I never owned the Terror Drome, as a kid or adult. Someday I willl, though. Thanks for the video!
