I had a 2014 I rebuilt also. Damn that oil cooler. I had a welder weld it back together. It had a seized exhaust camshaft. I had to replace the passenger head and seals for that side. Now, she runs like a champ with 45k miles
had the opportunity to own it younger brother the 650i gran coupe, and i loved it, the engine accesories can be a pain in the butt at times. M6 would be my dream to own

I’ve got an attachment for slide hammer that goes on the axle at gear box to get the blow force needed to detach. And dude!!!! Use gloves. You don’t want a build up of hydrocarbons in your skin and system. (Edd China stated wearing gloves after his doctor said his hydrocarbon levels were high)
The M6 is one of my favourite M cars I'll following this build like how I was following the X5M, M2 and the M4 🙌🏾 all love from SA 🇿🇦❤

Black smoke simply means something is wrong with the fuel line, eg injector nuzzles. It might be due to it being parked down for a while.
Nothing to fear really, I’m sure it would clear while the engine runs with time.
