Use your legs. That's something I tell myself all the time whether practicing or bowling league/tournament. Keep up the great bowling and vlog content, guys. Always nice to see how you're doing.
Keep up the great work. So cool to have a tournament at your home center. Still so weird to see Robarge bowling so low - it has to affect his back negatively.
Hey Brad, congrats on leading the US open so far this year. Also forgot to ask Kyle how his new baby is doing and Amanda too. Hope see you guys on the tour again next year.
Off topic a bit, but have you two bowled any tournaments with string pins and if so what did you think? Maybe the PBA doesn't allow strings pins in tournaments yet?
When the lanes are hooking that much, wouldn't getting your hand behind / underneath the ball more reduce a lot of revs so you don't have to throw over the gutter?
Getting underneath it increases revs, and getting behind it is bad for carry when you are that deep. The farther left you play, the more rotation you need to get the ball through the pins correctly.
I think 2 handed bowling is a glitch they need a tourney where 2 games one handed and 2 games 2 handed and top 2 play 1 game with the highest total score picks the style… and the champ is crowned…. To many young bowlers 2 handed need to make em learn 1 handed too
I won a Midwest regional there it wasn't in masters division yet cuz I think I was like 12 or 13 but the division before it. St.Charles lanes is fav of mine
Instead of moving that far left, why not flatten the hand and throw it up 10/15 late in the block? Wouldn't more oil be pushing to that area with everything throwing 25-30 to 8.
The problem with that is you get too much inconsistency. Especially on a longer pattern with an out of bounds, you get pinched into a very narrow area to throw the ball. That's not to say it won't ever work.
Two things I don't understand. 1: When t he lanes get like this what is the reason you dont have a straighter shot (throwing down second arrow with little to no hand in the ball) The shot scores well but isnt dynamic and huge hooking. 2nd Question/Observation, usually you both are so quiet in your upper and lower bodies in your videos (especially your teaching videos) but in this video it seemed like every body motion was exaggerated and jerky. Love your channel.
@@CBahlBowling You're crazy if you think a light to no hook shot over the 2nd arrow is going to flat 10 every time. Yes statistically I think its a 60 degree entry angle is optimal for strikes, but every bowling coach Ive ever had made me have that shot in my bag and Ive used it for plenty of 230+ games. To be clear, I have no doubt they both have this shot Im just wondering why they didnt go to it when you're standing on board 40 and still having trouble hitting the pocket consistently.
@@rhegafd It’s different when there is still oil, but with no hand and burnt fronts the ball will burn up halfway down the lane and have no energy at the pins. It’s a textbook recipe for flat 10s.
good shooting guys, Kyles follow through was consistent but Brad , man you were pullen up on must of your shots from deep inside and that gave u lots of splits, heads up for tomorrow guys, good luck.
I hope so. I quit bowling for 20 years because it wasn't treated like a sport. I don't see basketball or volleyball players wearing long pants and belts!
@@ripvanrevs the shorts th8ng I think should be allowed. It gets super hot in some parts of the country and the humidity is horrible. They were slick yesterday because the pattern hadn't been applied multiple times... it takes 3 full strips and re-applies... to get the REAL feel for a pattern/Reation/Where to play. Most Houses are so cheap... they just run the machine once... WITHOUT even burning a pair... and most DONT EVER double strip the lanes and then apply... which would give you a much more reliable representation than the crap you threw on yesterday. I always bring 3 surfaced... and 3 shined... various core sizes for each category obviously. But to put a final note on that sentiment where you said the lanes played slick yesterday and hooked a lot today... weather doesn't play a part like that... You just experienced HORRIBLE lane prep by a cheap company. Simple as that... and the approaches are tacky because the Lane Maintenance Operator... failed to buff the lanes from ROCK AND BOWL the night before.
Lol...How many championships do you have? Weather 100% effects reaction and the approaches. I grew up in STL it gets brutally humid and the approaches pay the price. You have no clue what youre talking about.

Kyle's throwing at spares like they ran his dog over.

Three balls down, two shiny balls to the left. That's a big bowling bag.
Now you won’t surface anything the next block and the pattern is super slick and tight lol. Gotta love bowling
That 10 pin Kyle shot potentially would have converted the 7-10
I’d be like coming in on Friday night yes can’t wait to bowl walk in and be like oh great F”;&k there’s a league guess were not bowling haha
It was a pleasure bowling with/against you guys. Hopefully I can keep up with y’all next time 😂

I think you mean the USBC Open Championships, not US Open. Totally different tournaments 😅
....it's hard to jump left if im playing the gutters. am I gonna have to loft the left gutter towards the pocket as a lefty 2h😢?!
Do you make hand adjustments first before a ball change? Or do you get into a ball that looks better, then adjust the hand to match what you see?
My kid bowled in this yesterday.. his first regional.. struggled a little with ball reaction but had a blast..

None of these replies answer to the question. Are you allowed to wear a shorts in a PBA tournament?
