Shazia is queen of punjabi pop she was the most happening thing in late ninetees and early 2000s she was even popular in india probably more in india her famous song ghar aaja sohniyaand chan mere makhna
This song is referring to the ups and downs of life, life process and eventually the end of life, returning back to where we had been from, towards our creater, while leaving and collecting some good or bad memories with us and nothing else, that's the essence of life in this world that we came bare handed and we will leave empty handed except taking or our good or bad deeds with us, in the form of memories both for us and for dear ones left behind
It's a mixture of the past and the future. This fashion watch set shows the 60s
Hallo Cojak;
Weiter so!
Good job Bro!
12:52 he is in shock!
Thanks for your kind words.love and respect from Pakistan
Pakistan's 60s Music vibe 😊
Wow bro you're amazing cuz most important you're a very fast to learn about situation wow again you're amazing 🙌
She is legend 90
Female singer is legend
Hassan raheen is also a famous singer
His popular songs like peechy hutt(coke studio session 14), wishes etc .
This song is inspired by the 90s famous Karachi Christine community band 🎸
The person who started in that contraption changed and the person in his virtual experience replaced him at the end while he was stuck in the virtual world.
I was waiting for your reaction on this... I loved this one... I think this might be the only song I'll come back to listen to from season 15... Shazia Manzoor was really famous back in the late 90s and early 2000s... but recently she hasn't been in the limelight... I'm just glad Xulfi brought her back in this season.. she has been in CS before season 8 I think... so you can check that out if you want!
Btw the lyrics are by Adnan Dhool.. so we can always expect deep and philosophical poetry in there!
Shazia is a veteran popular punjabi / folk singer who has just stepped into the realm of Coke Studio.
Hasan Raheem was the one who sang Peeche Hutt in season 14. I think you reacted to that
@SamiUllah-z7x That's right. Although he has released other songs too.
Absolutely love your comments on Coke Studio Pakistan🙏💕❤️
11:04 i think it is a transition to Hassan Rahim memories. He is lost in his own thoughts. Or maybe its a time jump glitch of alternate realities.
But Egile hides from Hassan? As they had some connections
Matchless track forever
Shazia is living legend and guy dancing behind her is Egil from quick style
What a wonderful description. Well Done 👍
Please do "The Magical Journey of Turri Jandi" then you will understand the real meanings and lots of behind the scenes. The whole new world of coke studio will be open for you if you start reacting on The mgaical journey of each song of season 15 and even season 14. You have no idea what are you missing.
Wow amazing song ❤
The hint is... At the end everyone has to go back to our beloved God so enjoy every moment of this gift of life ....
The Magical Journey of "Turri Jandi" | Coke Studio Pakistan
The latest offering from Coke Studio Pakistan, "Turri Jandi," encapsulates a unique musical experiment that beautifully merges the past, present, and future. This project, spearheaded by visionary producer Xulfi, and featuring the legendary Shazia Manzoor alongside contemporary artist Hassan Raheem, transcends traditional music boundaries and offers listeners a sonically and visually immersive experience.
The concept of "Turri Jandi" springs from an intriguing idea: what if a glitch in time could create a new world? This notion is reflected in the music and production, with intentional glitches and distortions woven into the melody to evoke the feeling of time travel. Xulfi aimed to capture the essence of the 60s and 70s by using authentic instruments and arrangements from that era, creating a sound reminiscent of vinyl records from decades past.
This season of Coke Studio explores different song structures to showcase the versatility of Desi Pop. "Turri Jandi" stands as a testament to this exploration, presenting a free-flowing, innovative piece that blends various musical influences. The track draws from Pakistan's rich musical history, including underground Christian rock bands from Karachi and the pioneering electronic experiments of Sohail Rana. It seamlessly integrates global influences like Latin, South American, and Western pop music with indigenous folk sounds.
The narrative behind the song also emphasizes a fusion of eras and styles. The collaboration between Shazia Manzoor and Hassan Raheem highlights this blend. Shazia, an icon in the Pakistani music industry since the early 90s, brings her vast experience and dynamic personality to the project. Her journey, marked by resilience and dedication in a male-dominated industry, mirrors the song's theme of relentless passage through time. Hassan Raheem, representing the new wave of Pakistani artists, complements her with his fresh perspective and contemporary vibe.
The visual storytelling of "Turri Jandi" adds another layer to its richness. The music video, directed by Kamal Khan, depicts a world where past, present, and future collide. It showcases a futuristic yet retro aesthetic, complete with analogue, bulky technology from the 60s and 70s, adorned with traditional Pakistani elements. This anti-colonial vision imagines a Pakistan that developed independently, free from British influence, blending modern tech with vibrant, ornate sub-continental culture.
The set design and costumes further this narrative, merging western styles with ethnic fabrics and textures. This integration emphasizes that technological advancement need not come at the cost of cultural identity. The choreography, directed by Nasir from QuickStyle, adds to the song’s groove, ensuring that movement and dance are integral to the performance.
Ultimately, "Turri Jandi" is more than just a song; it’s a cultural statement. It bridges generational gaps, highlighting the evolution and diversity of Pakistani music while paying homage to its roots. The collaboration between Shazia Manzoor and Hassan Raheem encapsulates this journey, presenting a piece that is both nostalgic and forward-looking. This project underscores Coke Studio’s commitment to pushing musical boundaries and celebrating the rich tapestry of Pakistan’s cultural heritage.
