It’s a great manga, sadly people have been ignoring it for so long. I started reading it out of curiosity, but once I read the first chapter, I got invested.
Wow, did not expect there to be a video to talk about this manga. Im so sad so few ppl is talking about it. I just started reading it and can't stop. The premise is so unique and its message and story telling is top notch. This is a work that will resonate with you in your heart. Will be looking forward to the anime adaption by Madhouse, hopefully it does it justice.
I just finished reading it yesterday, definitely MASTERPIECE. Especially when you’re YOUNG though there are a lot of bloody scenes. I believe it will blow up everybody’s brain when the anime series IF Madhouse don’t do a shit work. Let’s keep expecting to it.
I dont know if you are still active or not but wanted to share for others who might come across this great video. We now have this series officially liscensed and the anime is coming in a few months. Madhouse did an amazing job with Frieren last year and Im excited to see how they do with Orb. Thanks for doing this great video discussion.
I heard the anime announcement recently and decided to give it a read. Having finished it, its the most unique manga ive ever read, and one thats gonna stick in my mind forever. Also I like your production on this video, and youre probably one of the handful of channels that have made a video about this so long ago lol. Also I like how you used the dr. stone ost for this :)
Tbh this manga is very unhistorical as the author said himself. Poland (where this manga probably takes place) at the time was very tolerant country, followers of other religions where accepted and Copernicus never faced any consequences of publishing his work.
Exactly. The most jarring was when a peasant had a closet full of books, when the printig press was barely invented. It felt as if the author took the names from "random Polish surname" generator, it felt really modern and fake. Also, Kraków's looks were purely author's imagination, even though the city was mostly spared by wars and we can still see medieval architecture today. So it would be a quick google search to see how castle, university building or roads looked like. Author did quite a poor job with research, or rather the lack of it. Still, it's a great read, and I 100% recommend it for the story alone.
@@oljackie35 I have only read the original Japanese version, so I do not know what the English translation is, but the names C religion and P country are used, except at the end where Copernicus appears. It is only when Copernicus is mentioned that the actual Polish and Christian names are used. In view of your assertion, the English version does not translate correctly.
Yea i watched the anime on netflix it was intresting to me now ill read the manga after watching episode 3 its really good to bad its a hidden gem and both mediums
To me Chi is about how human society should handle new ideas, and this question applies to every player including the person who comes up with the idea e.g. Is she prepared to be challenged, disproved and rejected? Granted scientific amd technology advancements are important to humans, everyone still needs to be both open minded and suspicious when examining ideas.
Regarding A-DO volume 4 and 5, I still don't see them available at Amazon, sucks when that happens, I am really enjoying it tough, just have to wait for it to be available 😅

@@abcdmefgh2843 This manga isn't Poland except at the end. It's not even Christian. Except for the last part, there is a parallel.

It’s on my list!

この漫画のすごいところは、物語の主人公が「地動説」そのものであることです。地球の"チ"、地動説の"チ"、知性の"チ"、血の"チ"。アニメ化が楽しみでなりません。
I watched the first episode and all I can say is this is amazing anime.
Great review the only thing I disagree with is the relevance of today. That's a miss comparison imo and a narrow one.
Watched the anime. Now I'm fully interested 😅
I read it in korean its soooooo good and I felt so hopeful afyerwords
