Around 16:10, they're walking by a sign for a Christian elementary school. Not only can the Asylum not be bothered to grab extras, they also can't find a high school.
June300c That egg salad food poisoning actually sounds more interesting than the rest of the movie. I was kind of hoping for that to be a "cut away" gag.
My school is 45 minutes away from my home If I can take a bus to there, then Zack Efron's failed clone (they have the same name, coincidence?) can take a bus. I just solved your problem, kid.
In elementary school I took a 50 minute bus ride with other children 4-10 years old. Middle school 1 hour away (11-14) and high school I had to take a private bus due to severe bullying was an hour again (14-17). GET A BUS RIDE

Let’s be honest, this movie really isn’t a Christian movie. Like Todd said, there’s barely any Christian elements even in it. The church aspect really only exists as a plot/legal device to keep the movie from getting sued by the Disney Channel
I've seen plenty of low-budget Christian films and this has to be the dullest one yet. No energy, selfish, unlikable characters, and a plot that doesn't even make sense, much less have a Christian message.
Could be that the elementary school and the high school share the same building. One half is the high school and the other is the elementary. I'm probably being generous here, more like as not the Asylum was too cheap and lazy to bother not shooting the sign.
I think this movie would've been far more entertaining if it was the movie adaptation of Sunday Funday. Once Zachary moves, he goes on a quest to get to Sunday school to participate in the competition, but like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the entire town is out to get him and it's complete chaos.
I grew up listening to gospel music (Clark sisters, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett,). My friend thought I would like Christian rock… I didn’t like it. It was low key awful 😂😂😂.
My favourite part of this episode is where Todd and Matthew make barf sounds after the whole make this bubble take away my trouble and where they both tell miles and Savannah to shut up after the whole thing bout Matthew saying it being like who can be the most annoying
Matthew Film Brain, you sir, rock. You crack me up. Also, judging by your sweater vest your mom still dresses you AND cuts your hair, which is even cooler. Now thats street cred!
My second favourite part of this is where Todd says there is a horrible itch in his throat and needs to strath it with his gun and how he does it is so hilarious
This and your crossovers with The Rap Critic are my favorite episodes of yours. I know you've had some issues lately, but be known that your fans will wait till you're ready to give us more entertaining BMB episodes.
It's so hilarious hearing the kid making a big deal of the fact they live 45 MINUTES away, given that I'm from the countryside and the nearest school was that far away
OK, why is she upset about being called boss? I actually thought that was kind of funny. But seriously, why are all the girls that Zack hangs out with so touchy? Andrea doesn’t want him to leave, and savanna can’t handle being called boss. Like he wasn’t even insulting her! Oh well.
Nice, but I hope to see new reviews from you sometimes. Don't get me wrong, the "Projector" series is good, but a full review is something special ;) But than again, I don't know your schedule, so maybe you have to work and therefor don't have much time for review-videos like you used to. But hey, real life comes first. Happy eastern :)
Actually i feel sorry for zac... he clearly can't even qualify to go to a real school, instead attends a weekday sunday school... a school where being in choir is held in such high regard that quitting is akin to serious betrayal...
The Asylum made this movie. That's right, THE ASYLUM. The people that made Sharknado had a Christian arm of their mostly B movie studio. That means EVERYTHING they make is automatically bad (well, only Sharknado is an original concept and *parody* of disaster movies).
wait a minute: Your Church, amongst the most sacred parts of Christian living, is being shut down, and you're worried about the CONCEPT!? You guys... aren't Christian at all. Are you?
Scripturally, the church is anywhere two or more Christian's gather, not a sacramental building. On the other hand scripturally, this movie sucks balls and has no concept of scriptural doctrine and is pandering as a means to increasing the income of a spiritually hollow, christ-veneered business. It's an either/either argument. I think.
Forty-Five minutes away? This is a Sunday School, isn’t it? Would it really be too much of a trek to travel forty five minutes each week? It’s not like he’s moved to freaking Alpha Centari.
I have a curious question, What is this music/sound effect playing in the background at 0:57-1:49 (not to mention the scene from this timingpoint was funny)?
16:14 They're at "Pasedena Christian Elementary School?!?" How old are they? Maybe Todd couldn't see it through his Madonna veil, but Film "Brian," you're letting me down.
Goddamn this movie. The worst part is how un-fucking-likeable almost every character is. And nothing makes any sense. Its...now that I think about it, a lot like my experiences in Sunday school.
there were kids at my school that literally rode 45 minutes or longer on the bus to and from school every day because they lived down a back road down a back road down some other back road. he's in the freaking city, where public transportation exists. apparently his friends and choir just aren't worth having to get up early.

Yeah you've produced some good banter with Todd on this one.
Thanks for re-uploading it.
The banter between you two is pretty good.
HEY DON'T DIS GLEE HOW COULD YOU NOT FEAL REMORSE WITH CORY MONTITH
I think that The Assylum are try to make It's So Bad That It's Good Movies, but for you and I, they're just bad.
"the shoot is gonna be grueling" oh past todd, you have no idea.....
We're supposed to believe that a teenager doesn't know how to crack an egg? No wonder he was having academic trouble.
Really? I didn’t realize that was what was happening. How could he not know how to crack an egg by then?
@@TheJorgieVerse Especially when cracking eggs is one of the easiest things to learn.
AussieMan I know
But film brain! if they sent their kid to public school they might have to deal with.....(quivers) differing ideas on religion!
I figured he was named "Zack" cause of Zac Efron.
Around 16:10, they're walking by a sign for a Christian elementary school. Not only can the Asylum not be bothered to grab extras, they also can't find a high school.
Given everyone's intelligence, I don't think this is Asylum's fault, I just think these kids all got held back by several years.
Lol that egg salad food poisoning sounds like they were purposely poisoned instead of an accident.
June300c that egg salad food poisoning makes it sound like the studio couldn't afford the extra choir
June300c That egg salad food poisoning actually sounds more interesting than the rest of the movie. I was kind of hoping for that to be a "cut away" gag.
+ajmrowland Or heck they could include a subplot with people trying to figure out how it happened in the first place.
Manslaughter by egg salad. hell egg salad is gross enough...
My school is 45 minutes away from my home
If I can take a bus to there, then Zack Efron's failed clone (they have the same name, coincidence?) can take a bus. I just solved your problem, kid.
I'm 15 minutes away from my school and it's a different zip code; the bus won't take me
RiNickulous Productions Zip/Area codes are not a problem where I live. I could go across the whole city on the bus.
I live 20 minutes away from my school and I take a bus! There's literally buses that go everywhere and I live in the middle of nowhere.
He could also do what I do and carpool
In elementary school I took a 50 minute bus ride with other children 4-10 years old. Middle school 1 hour away (11-14) and high school I had to take a private bus due to severe bullying was an hour again (14-17). GET A BUS RIDE
As a Christian, I feel personally attacked by this pos movie.
_"I got dreams, I got goals - but unfortunately I have no rhythm and don't understand what a metre is..."_
Word to your parental unit or legal guardian!
"And then the orgy happened..." can make any movie better.
"The shoot is gonna be grueling." I didn't know Todd was psychic, too.
I am a very devout Christian and this is just embarrassing. Just flat-out 100% embarrassing.
Gabe The Samurai , nah.. you just need to be a functioning human to be embarrassed about this...

"Ladies and gentlemen give it up for Savage Garden!" HOW DARE YOU I-....yeah you're right. Damn.
That was the best joke in the review. He really did sound like Savage Garden while singing that particular song.
Thomas Carmody it’s like he was infected by the soul of Darren Hayes
@@jessica23claire Thinking back on it now, it's safe to say that Savage Garden were the Wham of the late '90s.
there's a sign around 16:06 pointing out that this is a Christian elementary school. THIS IS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL? WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
Could be that the elementary school and the high school share the same building. One half is the high school and the other is the elementary. I'm probably being generous here, more like as not the Asylum was too cheap and lazy to bother not shooting the sign.
*"This horrible itch in the back of my throat that I need to scratch with my GUN!"*
Best. Quote. Ever.

We get all these raging-atheists that don't want you to go to church.
there's so much uncomfortable mumbling in this movie it's like a real bad asmr video
"We will FUCK YOU UP!" "This is MY house of God!"
"Oh time for a song....time for a song......SING A SONG DAMN IT!!!!!"
Mulan remake in a nutshell
10:51 Ok, the inter-cutting of the Superbad footage was pretty ingenious there
*"There's a horrible itch in the back of my throat I need to scratch with my gun!"*
This needs to become a meme
13:40 that's literally the least sanitary place to dance.
Todd and Matthew should do more crossover reviews
They did review The Squeakquel the following year.
+imdb88 that was the Rap critic
horaciosi No I would love bad we beat down Todd in the shadows and rap critic crossover
21:15 "And she's all out of bubblegum!" I thought I was the only person who remembered that movie!
I'm Christian and I can honestly say that Christian movies and music are usually terrible and the exact opposite of inspiring.
I grew up listening to gospel music (Clark sisters, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett,). My friend thought I would like Christian rock… I didn’t like it. It was low key awful 😂😂😂.
Same boat here
“You smell nice”
*punch*

16:45 Some of the worst acting I've ever seen.
Love the Phelous cameo.
My favourite part of this episode is where Todd and Matthew make barf sounds after the whole make this bubble take away my trouble and where they both tell miles and Savannah to shut up after the whole thing bout Matthew saying it being like who can be the most annoying
"...chicka cherry cola."
-savage garden
14:55 Those extras are like, "Yep, just gonna ignore this."
Glad you were able to put this one out again, and equally glad the piano intro stayed in.
Well the piano intro wouldn't bring any copyright claims like the actual song would.
@0:20 "I heard the shooting is gonna be grueling" lol, that's taken on some new context.
It's fun seeing Matthew reacting like that to Todd after he's done the Purge review with NC. My how times change.
That piano cover of "Ready to Roll" is awesome.
Matthew Film Brain, you sir, rock. You crack me up. Also, judging by your sweater vest your mom still dresses you AND cuts your hair, which is even cooler. Now thats street cred!

"Knod and smile your way to religion" 😂
It's so hilarious hearing the kid making a big deal of the fact they live 45 MINUTES away, given that I'm from the countryside and the nearest school was that far away
This movie intro is the live action Rapsittie kids Believe in Santa. Complete with urban music written by someone from the suburbs.
This is giving me PTSD from my Christian youth group days.
"DAD GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!!!!"
Eamonn Deane lmao
Standing tall, on the wings of my dreams!
Rise and fall, crash right on my ass!
I love when he goes: "No, I'm more annoying!" He sounds like Cartman. LOL
Todd here reminds me of Matt Murdock, but didn't like going to church
"And then the orgy happened...right there in the choir room...it was pretty hot.." ~ Todd, 2011.
The music wasn't good or anything special, but it was more competent than I'd expect from Asylum.
Oh, finally! This was my favorite crossover. Thanks, mate.
The only thing HSM had going for it was Vanessa Hudgens and she's not in this, so... Why?!
Welp, can't wait for Brad to look at this.
OK, why is she upset about being called boss? I actually thought that was kind of funny. But seriously, why are all the girls that Zack hangs out with so touchy? Andrea doesn’t want him to leave, and savanna can’t handle being called boss. Like he wasn’t even insulting her! Oh well.
Did she just NOT tap that egg on the bowl, but instead on the table? Weird.
TheSefirosu200x People will do that so that the egg's shell won't fall into the bowl on accident.
Nice fresh prince of bel air reference
9:59 - 10:06 Was that supposed to rhyme?
Probably just a coincidence.

The funniest joke in this review was definitely the "Savage Garden" joke.

I loved this review. It made start watching Todd in the Shadows.
wait a minute: Your Church, amongst the most sacred parts of Christian living, is being shut down, and you're worried about the CONCEPT!? You guys... aren't Christian at all. Are you?
On the other hand, they're teenagers. Teenagers often have problems keeping their priorities in order no matter what religion they follow.
Scripturally, the church is anywhere two or more Christian's gather, not a sacramental building. This is my house of God 😂😂 20:21 they even got Snoop Dogg 20:29 😂😂
Even though I'm Christian I don't find any blasphemous jokes offensive

Everyone was really great in this review but Phelous' part never fails to crack me up XD
Forty-Five minutes away? This is a Sunday School, isn’t it? Would it really be too much of a trek to travel forty five minutes each week? It’s not like he’s moved to freaking Alpha Centari.
Say what you want about high school musical but a least it looked like they were actually singing
5:48 Like how Todd put in the “Perfect Strangers” theme that I heard from the Nostalgia Critic’s review of The Langoliers
11:19 Why does she sound so offended here? He's giving her a compliment here and she acts like he called her a bitch or something.
Because Belligerent Sexual Tension means "Luuuuuuuv"
I have a curious question, What is this music/sound effect playing in the background at 0:57-1:49 (not to mention the scene from this timingpoint was funny)?
This is the theme song to the British sitcom Steptoe and Son (which was remade in the US as Samson and Son).
i’m screaming that really DID sound like savage garden
16:14 They're at "Pasedena Christian Elementary School?!?" How old are they? Maybe Todd couldn't see it through his Madonna veil, but Film "Brian," you're letting me down.
One of those songs is literally in an episode of Veggie Tales 😆
Glad someone else noticed it.
Goddamn this movie. The worst part is how un-fucking-likeable almost every character is. And nothing makes any sense. Its...now that I think about it, a lot like my experiences in Sunday school.
And given the "conflicts" regarding the plot of the movie, it seems like they're _trying_ to contradict itself. And very poorly, to say the least.
"Do you even go to church?" Answer is simple: "No, I am Church of England."
I'll take this crap over EVERY movie by Pure Flix. At least it's not proselytizing or hateful. Just cheap and unfocused
That Savage Garden joke was hilarious to me
Watched this movie only 1 time and after I felt like blowing my brains out.. MY GOD THIS IS A AWFUL MOVIE!
Omg the songs are so bad *facepalm*
Well, it's a mockbuster of the High School Musical movies, which are already terrible to begin with.
but this movie makes that movies music sound like something Micheal Jackson would sing x.x
The music sounds like it was made by film composers if it was their first week on the job
5:29 Looks like anime on films and TV with lyrics on the button on the title sequence from opening and closing with interpretation with a karaoke
After the collapse of channell awesome these crossovers are hard to watch
but I believe Matt and Todd are still friends.
@@kevinthepilgrim me too
Awwww shit yea, this was one of the best BMB / Todd vids out there.
Didn't notice how old this was until I saw how "thin" Sage was. I worry for him.
Cause the dude is dangerously overweight now.
"This horrible itch in the back of my throat that I need to scratch with my gun!"
Proves watching Asylum mockbusters could really be torture.
I like these crossovers, but honestly Todd is best in the shadows.
2:53-3:36 Does anyone else enjoy listening to this theme being played on piano?
I'm surprised no one else has tried making a piano cover of ready to roll by jet black stare
there were kids at my school that literally rode 45 minutes or longer on the bus to and from school every day because they lived down a back road down a back road down some other back road. he's in the freaking city, where public transportation exists. apparently his friends and choir just aren't worth having to get up early.
So Todd , your the one who does that ready to roll song by jet black stare, thank god my man I love that song, that’s my favorite song ever.
Mathew is great.
You know, I'd rather watch HSM over this rip-off. My ears would bleed SLIGHTLY less.
At least the HSM soundtrack is good

This film is so low -budget I actually have the same shirt that the black lady on the phone has.
I love how the church scene at c. 18:40 has the christian nationalist flag in the background, the flag used by far right racist christian groups.
A Christian film with a Zombie epidemic sounds more entertaining than the film itself
I know it's odd but Todd should review the 50¢ video game
Nice to see Todd jamming.
Have you ever done a crossover with Phelous?
Yes, I have:

What 80s song is played that involves standing tall and rising and falling on the wings of one's dreams?
Probably late on answering this but its the theme song to Perfect Strangers.
It's the theme song to *Perfect Strangers*, starring Mark-Linn Baker and Bronson Pinchot.
This film made me want to convert.
To a better movie!
