This is why I love Jason and Elizabeth together. This is proof that Liz is the one and ONLY woman Jason truly put above everyone else, even "almighty Carly". Carly has always acted all high and mighty because she knew she'd always have Jason wrapped around her finger, putting her first above everyone else, and relishing in the fact that he'd always put her first. It wasn't until she met Liz that she would really get scared and rattled that she would actually lose Jason, and her grip on Jason. That's why she's always hated Liz. Because she's always known that when it comes down to her or Liz, Jason will always end up putting Liz above her. She knew there was a real chance of losing the hold she thought she had on Jason, and it scares her to think of not being first in his life. She knew she'd never be first with Liz in his life. And what do you know, Jason was actually proving it right then and there. Look at how he was treating Carly. Not giving her the time of day anymore at her beck and call. He actually made her feel like an annoyance, which she knew she was, everyone knew she was. But she never actually felt like she was until he started putting Liz above her. He's never EVER done that with Sam. He's never made Carly feel like an annoyance. He's never ever at any point in time when he was with Sam made Carly feel like he had to tolerate her, because she knew Jason would put her first over Sam in a heartbeat in the end, no matter what he said. But Liz is the one women in the history of women that Jason's been with that has ever made Carly truly scared of losing her place in Jason's life. Now THAT is a real and true love. I stopped watching GH for about 10 years now. I just googled Franco and I cannot believe this is the same Franco that James Franco originated. Jason and Elizabeth are NOT fundamentally different. Elizabeth changed her lifestyle because she became a mom. But I never got the impression that they were two diametrically opposed people. Emily and Sonny were fundamentally different, not Jason and Liz. They just made different life choices based on other things that had very little to do with their fundamentals.

And Liz was pretty young and impressionable back then too, she was just starting to be an adult, and was forced to see the dangers of his profession. A profession by the way he tried to get away from several times, once when he first met Liz he had retired from the business and it didn't last long. It is really Jason who solidified those fears and reality made those fears true with retaliation.

She did not kill Zander. He died by suicide by cop. yes, she thought she killed him and he was going after her and Ric got Jason to lie for her. But later he showed up alive, went on the run kidnapped Emily. She convinced him to give himself up, but he didn't want to spend his life in prison, so he made the cops believe he had a weapon and they shot and killed him. Jason like all her friends wanted to cover for her, but she felt guilty. It was her friends that convinced her to go along with the lie. Except for the rape, she's never claimed to be a victim

SHELLI YOACHAM Obviously the WRITERS are responsible for everything that happens. It’s a show. However...the writers are also responsible for creating these characters. They cultivate them over the years. They show us (the audience) who these characters are. Especially on long running soap operas where these characters are on for many, many years. If we pay attention we get to learn WHO these “people” are. That’s how it works. Jason has been shown to us as honest, loyal and grounded. He does not live in a fantasy world. He doesn’t spend his time wishing. He’s not selfish by nature. He is a person who never deludes himself. (Like Sonny and Carly do constantly). Plus...He needs danger in his life. It’s a part of who he is. Elizabeth has been shown to be conflicted, soft and weak. She’s never really sure of what she wants. And when she has something good...she’s never satisfied with it. She loves Lucky because he’s safe and stable (most of the time) but she bores with that. She loves Jason, but his life scares her. She loves being a nurse but still longs to be a carefree artist living in Italy. She loves being a mother but often times she uses her children as excuses (for not going after what she really wants). She’s a dreamer! That’s why she and Jason could never work. They are fundamentally different people! The writers have been showing us this for YEARS. The writers portray Jason and Elizabeth as two people who love THE IDEA of each other way more than they do the actual people they really are. PAY ATTENTION! I never said a word about Sam. However...it is a proven fact (another thing the writers have shown us) that she is better suited to a life with Jason because she loves him unconditionally and without fear. She understands him, supports him and actually makes him happy. (Most of the time). But that’s not to say that Sam doesn’t have issues of her own. She’s far from perfect. It’s very true that each of these characters have made terrible mistakes but we as viewers are supposed to look beyond the mistakes and see them for who they are at their core. And the writers show us often, that just because two people genuinely love one another...it’s not always enough to keep them together.

Sasha still went and kidnapped SAM! And got to realize the only reason JAKE was kidnapped was because SASH put a tail on SAM!
Remember Sam claims she knows how to lose a tail!
But still LUCKY found SAM at LIZ's art studio during NOV 2006!
Fast forward to 2008!
As soona s KARPOV died, SONNY became target to all of KARPOV"s men still being ordered by Sasha!
And first order of business through SASHA was finding SONNY's misttess SAM!
And mind you SASAH already knew in advance who Sam was as to when Sam went undecover to infliatrate KARPOV"s orgnization!

There are so many factors to why LIASON doesn't exist in GH today
the biggest one is how many JASAM FANS have gone to SOCIAL MEDIA since 2006 to threaten the actresses life of REBBECCA HERBST who plays ELIZABETH WEBBER! Not only did they harrass this woman on social media they threatned her family her kids because these jasam fans hate liz a ficitonal characte this much!!
And so of course any actress would ask the executive to not let her be in the JASAM cycle anymore after that!!
So that is why LIASON is dead!!
But to the cost of forcing the role of LIZ to be with FRANCO is also horrifying!
That basically explaisn 45% reason to why LIASON is dead from GH!

I stopped watching GH for about 10 years now. I just googled Franco and I cannot believe this is the same Franco that James Franco originated. He was a psycho on that show and they had him marry Elizabeth!!??? How the frick did that even happen???? That confuses me because they never ever let Liason be a thing longer than a month on/off for an entire decade.

I think Jasam fans who have never seen clips from the beginning of Liason 1999 and on have no clue what Dlizabeth means to him. It's true Jason would show up for any of his friends or anyone that's been close to him if they needed him. How many times did he show up for Liz, too many times to count.

Jason and Elizabeth are NOT fundamentally different. Elizabeth changed her lifestyle because she became a mom. But I never got the impression that they were two diametrically opposed people. Emily and Sonny were fundamentally different, not Jason and Liz. They just made different life choices based on other things that had very little to do with their fundamentals.

It's just that in the beginning Jason cared about her so much he always tried pushing her away and trying to drill it in her head that his life was too dangerous for her, and that he never wanted her to get caught in the middle or hurt because of him. He's said that MANY times over the years, and then when he actually WANTED, yes WANTED to be with her because he LOVED her, karma bit him in the ass with Liz now saying that his life was too dangerous and that she was afraid for her kids. Of course she wanted to be with him, and he's ALWAYS wanted to be with her, they just never could because if it wasn't one of them trying to pull back and protect them from harm, it was the other. They just never had a fair shot. Of course Liz was going to get mad when Jason found someone else, he would always try and tell her that his life was dangerous and that he didn't want her near the danger, and then she started to believe it when she started having kids. So of course she'd be mad, she never got a fair chance to be with him. Jason and Liz have always had a connection and love between them.

And Liz was pretty young and impressionable back then too, she was just starting to be an adult, and was forced to see the dangers of his profession. A profession by the way he tried to get away from several times, once when he first met Liz he had retired from the business and it didn't last long. It is really Jason who solidified those fears and reality made those fears true with retaliation.
That will never happen they are forever connected because of Jake and Emily nothing and no one can change that
I think everyone forgets ev that Liz had her chance with Jason but she threw it away to be with Xander and she's not exactly sweet an innocent either she has lied withheld the truth when it suited her and if I remember correctly when she was pregnant with Xander's kid she didn't want him to tell people the truth so she bashed him upside the head and killed him not self-defense either he wasn't threatening her he wasn't trying to harm her yes he was going to tell people the truth out of spite but that didn't give her the excuse to Kill a Man In Cold Blood so no she's not sweet she's not innocent and she's not a victim she knows exactly what she's doing

She did not kill Zander. He died by suicide by cop. yes, she thought she killed him and he was going after her and Ric got Jason to lie for her. But later he showed up alive, went on the run kidnapped Emily. She convinced him to give himself up, but he didn't want to spend his life in prison, so he made the cops believe he had a weapon and they shot and killed him. Jason like all her friends wanted to cover for her, but she felt guilty. It was her friends that convinced her to go along with the lie. Except for the rape, she's never claimed to be a victim

Loving someone isn’t always enough. There has to be mutual respect, honesty and most of all ACCEPTANCE. Elizabeth may love Jason...but she is incapable of accepting ALL of who he is. Jason may love Elizabeth...but he is incapable of seeing who she REALLY is. He needs to keep her up on a pedestal where she’s always pure and she’s always innocent. Like a Madonna. The perfect mother. He needs to be her hero because deep down he KNOWS she could never be his partner. His equal. Their relationship was twisted, dishonest and dysfunctional.

SHELLI YOACHAM Obviously the WRITERS are responsible for everything that happens. It’s a show. However...the writers are also responsible for creating these characters. They cultivate them over the years. They show us (the audience) who these characters are. Especially on long running soap operas where these characters are on for many, many years. If we pay attention we get to learn WHO these “people” are. That’s how it works. Jason has been shown to us as honest, loyal and grounded. He does not live in a fantasy world. He doesn’t spend his time wishing. He’s not selfish by nature. He is a person who never deludes himself. (Like Sonny and Carly do constantly). Plus...He needs danger in his life. It’s a part of who he is. Elizabeth has been shown to be conflicted, soft and weak. She’s never really sure of what she wants. And when she has something good...she’s never satisfied with it. She loves Lucky because he’s safe and stable (most of the time) but she bores with that. She loves Jason, but his life scares her. She loves being a nurse but still longs to be a carefree artist living in Italy. She loves being a mother but often times she uses her children as excuses (for not going after what she really wants). She’s a dreamer! That’s why she and Jason could never work. They are fundamentally different people! The writers have been showing us this for YEARS. The writers portray Jason and Elizabeth as two people who love THE IDEA of each other way more than they do the actual people they really are. PAY ATTENTION! I never said a word about Sam. However...it is a proven fact (another thing the writers have shown us) that she is better suited to a life with Jason because she loves him unconditionally and without fear. She understands him, supports him and actually makes him happy. (Most of the time). But that’s not to say that Sam doesn’t have issues of her own. She’s far from perfect. It’s very true that each of these characters have made terrible mistakes but we as viewers are supposed to look beyond the mistakes and see them for who they are at their core. And the writers show us often, that just because two people genuinely love one another...it’s not always enough to keep them together.
