- Suke Bombil Masala/dry bombay duck masala.
suke bombil masala is an Authentic Aagri/Kohli non-veg dish ,served
with Bhakri or rice as main course.
Ingredients-
dry bombil- 12 pieces medium size
1 onion chopped
5 to 6 garlic cloves
1/4 inch ginger
4 to 5 dry mamgo bytes
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp aagri red chilli powder
salt as pere taste
1 tbsp coriender chopped
oil
Method-
clean fish by discarding its fins an stomach portion.cut into pieces
and put in hot water to remove dirt and excess salt. once clean
remove from water. take 2 tbsp oil in a pan,once heated,put onion
stir till it turns slight brown. add garlic ,ginger finely chopped
or paste.saute. add bombil. mix well, add salt as per taste.put 2 tbsp water and cook for 10 mins on low flame by covering with lid and water on it. once water kept on lid becomes warm add some water in bombil to avoid dryness.after 10 mins ,check, if bombil is well cooked add dry mango bytes and coriender. ccover with lid and again keep for 2 mins. check after 2 mins sukhe bombil masala is ready to serve.
serve with rice or bhakri

And the other thing I really LOVE about your recipes are that you DO NOT use tomatoes. Every other so called expert uses tomato as if without it no recipe can be made!!
I do not remember tomatoes ever being bought during our childhood except when tomato chi koshimbir was to be made. It's such a "Punjabi" fad that has been copied blindly by one and all.

My mom roasts the Bombin before soaking it in water, it taste really good. And even adds tamarind or kokam which makes it thoda ambat and thikhat
