STL Elevators, I think the maintenance people forgot to group the exterior/interior doors back together after they fixed the controller in the hoistway.
Seen at 1:51 is what I see quite a bit at work. When I see Jason (Otis elevator tech) at work, I can ask him what causes the car doors to close sooner than the hoistway doors. I know nothing is blocking the door beams. But to me, it seems that the controller may be clogged with dirt and that could be fowling it up.
I think from watching previous videos, the Dover has not been looked at or fixed for quite a long time! Did they finally modernize that messed up elevator, eh?
One of three possible outcomes might be taking place. I- there is debris on the door operator on the basement floor. II- A low class individual must have kicked or pushed the door on the right, causing the door and the interlock to lose calibration. That would mean the controller doesn’t know where the door is relative to the shaft, and once it finds it, that door closes immediately to prevent harm. III - A very bad case of the dreaded door disease.
While I dislike mods, I want this thing to get FULLY Modded!!!! THIS THING NEEDS A FULL MOD!!!! Again, I don't like mods but this one DOES COMPLETELY!!!! I love the fixtures sooo much but I think it needs to be Modernized
No, I believe that it should get replaced. Without necessary maintenance, many parts will fail due to age. I don’t believe that the building owner would want a lawsuit on their hands.
That poor elevator :(
DieselDucy Don't worry. If I'd ever come to St Louis and come to this building, I'll tell them to FULLY MOD or TOTAL REPLACE it >:) XD
I'd rather tell them to fix this issue -_-
VERNONBLVJSCSONAVUNE On the 7 train and 6 train & It funs fine now with the latest video of this thing
When I saw the thumbnail the first thought in my head was "forshadowing..."
ExcelElevations 4U: same
The elevator door at the Jankowski Community Center in Perth Amboy, NJ used to do that (at 1:51) and it might still do that to this day.
The door just needed some maintenance.
I've always noticed how many Dover's from this timeframe would not completely close the doors if no calls were present. It was always pretty strange.
The elevators at one of the parking garages at the riverchase galleria in Birmingham Alabama did this too
This definitely win the Major Taylor Award.
i'm only getting 720p 30fps with this video, but otherwise awesome as always!
I could be wrong, but I think it might be a problem with the relays, and yes, that door really needs to be fixed ASAP
it started with a simple door problem and then developed a seemingly familiar issue...
It’s having door problems on B & 1. Except for 2 it does not have door problems.
It's gotten better, but it still needs some more love.
yes it does. Give this old Girl some love.
At 2:50 I am led to believe that my second outcome might be the case, where the controller doesn’t know where the elevator door is.
STL Elevators, I think the maintenance people forgot to group the exterior/interior doors back together after they fixed the controller in the hoistway.
I know a elevator is low on oil?

Its probably a broken door clutch.
Must be an issue with the pickup rollers down at the basement
What about the lobby?

Check the 2023 update video!
@@stlelevators I sure will
Wow that is the all new hand crushing feature!!! It’s extremely rare and very few elevators have it.
NOT
Lol
On Lower Level/B is Safe Deposit & Lending. On Second Floor is the Training Center.
Yep
Wow! I have never seen any elevator doors do that.
Imagine calling it open again as the outer doors are slamming shut. That would do some damage I reckon.
It definitely wouldn't like that
Ok I really don’t mean to say this but this is the one elevator that REALLY NEEDS a modernization!
There's been worse elevators than this that needed a serious modernization
I’m actually a UA-camr, but I actually happened to a skin doctor elevator down in New York

This thing has issues in the cold too
This could use a ThyssenKrupp Mod honestly.
It just needs some tuning up and it should be fine.
Sad to see a vintage Dover in such bad shape.... :(
My guess is a bad clutch on the interior doors.
I thought the same thing
Oh boy........
The elevator channel had this on here 10 years ago and it was one of the worst elevators he ever saw
Justin would like the door slamming on elevators
haha
What a call a rather “amazing” maintenance.
IT RUNS WELL AND OK IT IS SOMETIMES LOW ON OIL
Nikos Podas STOP USING CAPS LOCK!!!!
u gotta find the machine room for this Elevator
That's one pretty crappy door system. This s*** door needs a replacement, and unfortunately I think this thing needs to get modded
ElevatorMan45 IT DOES NEED A MOD!!!! There's no other way!!!!
While I dislike mods, I want this thing to get FULLY Modded!!!! THIS THING NEEDS A FULL MOD!!!! Again, I don't like mods but this one DOES COMPLETELY!!!! I love the fixtures sooo much but I think it needs to be Modernized
No, that would be horrible! All it really needs is a new door operator and better maintenance
It just needs a new controller and door equipment.
Floridian Elevators Yeah for sure
OPM1961 And a New Motor since it keeps on getting low on oil
No, I believe that it should get replaced. Without necessary maintenance, many parts will fail due to age. I don’t believe that the building owner would want a lawsuit on their hands.
This lift really needs to get a new motor and new controller soon.
No, it runs just fine. What it needs is a new door operator
@@FloridianElevators that too
Floridian Elevators controller needs work and a new clutch is needed as well.
@@DieselDucy Yeah, very true
It has photographyphobia!
Photographyphobia - Fear of being put on UA-cam
Nice one!
Because it was low on oil
This needs some major help or a mod

Door Disease...
One of the top 10 worst elevators according to The Elevator Channel.
Burp
It needs to be modded
Just needs a little love.
From thyssen krupp
Tylerp80 YES!!!! NEEDS A MOD OR BY KONE HAHAHAHA!!!!
Elevator needs help.
It really does.
The Elevator Daily Like a MOD by KONE

If I were manager of that bank I would print these words on the doors on every floor:
DO NOT USE
LOADED WITH ISSUES
I’m actually a UA-camr, but I actually happened to a skin doctor elevator down in New York
