Fantastic movie! I've had this dvd for years and was happy to introduce it to several friends. You are right, everybody knows Coppola but not everybody knows about this film. Like your review, appreciate the time you took to edit this.
Excellent review, bringing in Blow Out, etc. I learned a lot here. I don't know if it counts as sound design or editing, but Nashville is really impressive. I also like how Fantastic Voyage uses only electronic sounds until the ship is injected, then it goes into a full score with cool sound effects.
Great choices! Robert Altman was known for his overlapping dialogue and miking multiple actors and conversations at once so Nashville definitely has some creative sound design!
