Thanks for the tips! Definitly using dielectric grease when I wire up mine later this week. Did you add silicone to the wiring inside the light? They are not weather proof connections and prone to the same failure as well.
For this truck, its got the AFE rebel series cat back. Its a good set up however it deafens the back seat passenger with the window down and it got a decent amount of cabin drone when at highway speeds. The side exit is cool but i much prefer the gibson extreme dual exhaust set up i have now
Question ,I caught a part on this video your rear camera screen kept flashing on and off and sometimes stay on I had the same issue but on heavy sleet or rain. I hear that plug you were showing was an issue. Now the question. Is that plug getting wet?
Most certainly, theres some form of condensation or corrosion happening thats causing the reverse camera to turn on. My display is the base wt so i never had it happen however my Gfs truck constantly would turn on in any sort of damp condition. So far the only fix we've come up with is to by-pass the plastic connection all together and hard wire it direct to the factory harness.
Whats up man nice truck, I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado and I just got my spyder tailights in the mail a couple of days ago, now what you said about using the electric grease do I put inside where you plug it in at?

Yah let me have a look, usually you can find them on amazon or ebay, typically they're labelled as ACAN II or AKKON lights

Have you had problems with condensation inside tail light?
Yah, theres a section of the video i happen to discuss the problem i had on 3 seperate sets. Even after using Dielectric grease
@@casuallyuploaded9789 any remedies? Or did you finally fix it?
@@silvaart560 I actually wrote the truck off last year, So i dont know... i certainly wont be getting them again
I used bulb greese on my rear lights when I installed them and haven't had a issue yet. They do look much better than stock 100%
How did you get the third break light to go flush
Whats up man nice truck, I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado and I just got my spyder tailights in the mail a couple of days ago, now what you said about using the electric grease do I put inside where you plug it in at?
Yessir, You should be generous with it too. the connect needs a good solid seal
When you say generous with it, you mean fragile?
looks awesome, man! love both...i'm also from ontario so i'm guess its legal at the tint you have?
Not technically. I've got it matched with the rear factory tint. Which is 5% darker then whats legal
Happy New Year's
Mine pushes 435hp@5000rpm. Total sleeper.
Your colorado???
Horrible 3rd brake light imo great video tho
