  • If you can think of a Shaolin weapon, it probably appeared during this demonstration at the Shaolin Temple Cultural festival held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on October 12, 2013. Everything was on display from Monk Spade to Shaolin Whip and all the bladed weapons in between.

Shaolin warriors are so adapt with weapons, they can use anything as a weapon, even other monks.

This is a dumb a$$ comment. Kung Fu is literally invented for war.
It was always weapons first and hand to hand 2nd.
Kung fu wasn’t invented for an octagon. It was invented to kill.
Mma fighters wouldn’t last 2 seconds on the battle field. Nor could they do anything if they had weapons.
Clearly you’re a couch potato who probably can’t wipe their own a$$.
Otherwise you would know none of the main mma styles use weapons. So they wouldn’t have a clue.
Go back to eating your snacks and getting fatter.

i'm sure its just because its training weapons, but somehow, the idea of a blade so flimsy, that when swung, it sounds like someone flicking a piece of aluminum, it doesnt seem effective... also the entire bit with the staff user, and the bare fist fighter, the dodging sequence was---so unrealistic its supposed to be a realistic and fatal martial arts, not some kind of show... so if they do cultural stuff like this, and showcase it, make it seem more realistic then dodging a bunch of obviously unrealistic staff blows by nodding your head, and do actual blocks, maneuvers, and styles other than flailing.
