Wow, she's supposed to be the Leader of the House of Commons, but she ignores Mr. Speaker's repeated pleas for the courtesy of listening and not holding a conversation, especially when he is answering a point of order related to her previous words, but then she just storms out - she shows her true character to her Electorate. It looks like she is making a beeline to return to her Nursery School.
What's disgraceful is that a supporter trying to defend a misconduct just because of a political affiliation by blaming the Speaker instead of the douchebag.
Bercow is a comic genius. I sense a Basil Fawlty influence here -that so polite and amenable facade barely concealing his forked tongue rebukes and razor sharp wit. Andrea Leadsom and John Bercow need to get a room. That said, her passive aggressive behaviour towards the speaker in the commons is nothing short of a disgrace
This fine gentleman is quite fantastic. The way he puts MP Peter Bone in his place and so eloquently quells his complaint of Donald Tusks comment. The tories and the press have treated the EU representative's appallingly with false accusations with regards to many issues, not just brexit. I think Donald had remarkable though necessary restraint.
One reason would probably be that the chamber is nearly empty - as opposed to when the PM hangs around to speak - so not only is this a situation in which silence could be achieved, but one person continually speaking stands out a lot more. It's also extremely disrespectful to keep talking after you've been asked to be quiet and that lady has a history of disrespect towards Bercow so I understand why he doesn't want to let it go.
As a Brit, I can tell you that this is upper-class British anger in action. passive aggression and a talking down. For some - particularly the upper classes - this is akin to a right slap round the face. :U
Not to purposefully antagonise, but the prime minister Theresa May is not currently the leader of the house. That responsibility currently belongs to Andrea Leadsom, who interestingly is not a member of the cabinet. It would, in fact, be quite a strange state of affairs for the prime minister to also be the leader of the house, as both roles entail great but different responsibilities

Bercow was far too loquacious and too confrontational, where instead of being a neutral umpire. he became an active player and an activist for the opposition.
'Honourable' is an address applied to all members of Parliament unless they hold another recognised title, such as 'Prime Minister' or 'Leader of the Opposition' etc . If the member is a also a Privy Councillor, a body that advises the Queen regardless of their political affiliation (though in effect only government appointees advise the Queen) then 'Right Honourable' applies. Also if an MP is a qualified lawyer or barrister they are addressed as the Honourable or Right Honourable 'and Learned' member. If a member is a current or retired member of the Armed Forces they may be addressed as 'The Honourable or Right Honourable and Gallant' member.
I agree he could have just continued giving his boring response, instead of saying I will start again etc. he likes the sound of his own voice, unlike his wife it seems who looks elsewhere
mike marsh The conversatives hates him because he is NOT biased. His command of the position as Speaker is excellent and adequate, he is articulate too.
It is the job of the Speaker to defend the rights and traditions of 'The House' and all its members. The Speaker over time has consistently criticised the Government of the day where the rights and traditions of the the house and the members are sought to be eroded or manipulated (usually by the government). So the speaker should be biased, in favour of the rights of members and the traditions of the house.
