Totally AMAZING. I can't wait to see it in the air. Great job Carl. THANKS to all your sponsors!!! A BIG tanks to Duane for working with you along the way and keeping you safe.
I met Trent in Bisbee yesterday. He said he was out of Deer Valley. I mentioned that I like your videos. He said you had his pressure tester. And then this video pops up. Small world. Great video.
It sure is! My mechanic told me after we shutdown that I have successfully fuel injected an O320. Kinda blew my mind. I was just fixing the thing from other problems. Didn't realize the accomplishment.
you made a great video, thanks for showing us,, I also watched your previous clip as well .but one question please. what are the pipes that go from the cylinder tops to the sump? I watched with great interest, and cheers from NZ
I get to be the first comment! I am kinda shocked that you were NOT in the aircraft when you test fired it. I do notice there was no seat to sit on.. Man that engine sounds great!!!
I know right!? I’m recovering it right now. This weeks goals are to get the interior complete and back in the plane, which means running a lot of wires and other systems.
Guys...............Did you Check and re-check the Torque setting on ALL the cylinder head bolts to Manufacturers specs???????????????? Maybe as a precautions check the valve tappet clearances too.
@@flywiththeguys Excellent. I made this comment as I did not see in your previous video when installing the cylinder conduct the torque and valve procedures. AND, checking the valve clearances ensures you have the correct 1. settings 2. pushrods (as pushrod can vary in length. Blue Skies and be Safe. Cheers John from Australia.
@@anzacday4141 No problem. I'm trying to keep the installations simple, do a lot in the background that people don't see. I've been changing my newer content to explain things a bit better during the fast motion stuff too.
SAFETY SUGGESTION: I don't think anyone here would go looking up license plate numbers, but it might be a good idea to either keep vehicle plates out of the video or blur them if that's not possible. Sadly, we can't have nice things because people are shitheads.
I used to do that but I stopped. Found out that correlating the information is hard to do. Lots of sites say they can, but fall short after you pay for the fee of course. Thanks for the concern though! I usually don't have the plate visible in my videos but this one was harder to avoid.

Can't wait!
Thank you for taking us on this journey with you!
My pleasure!!

Apparently I do! I need to give it back and order my own. 😂
Very cool video. Starting up an engine for the first time is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations!

Huge milestone! Congratulations!
Thank you!
Two thumbs way way up, congrats Carl. When you were running the engine, The Red Rocket wanted to go. Don't put a leash on her. Great video!
I'm kinda worried the places it'll take me. LOL
@@flywiththeguys don't be worried, just hold on tight....hahahaha
Awesome stuff were getting there slowly but surely good luck with the remaining items looking forward to the maiden flight
Thanks 👍
Cool ... ALWAYS EXCITING to see and HEAR the engine run.

The red ones? Those are air intake. The little metal lines up top are the fuel lines for the injectors.
@@flywiththeguys thanks
👍✅👏Couldn't ask for a better first startup Carl, congrats man!
Really appreciate it! thanks for following us for so long.

Yerp. And I'll check them again before we start flying it again. We have the wings off right now doing some repairs.
