Great tutorial, but from experience, I'd recommend not doing the sharpening bit even if it does make the video look more like a TikTok style edit. The video quality takes a hit, especially if you are zooming in on 16:9 footage that you chopped up to make the edit for 9:16 mobile screens. The end product becomes pretty pixelated due to the sharpening.
I tried to use a mp4 converter and when I tried one it said my computer is at risk of something and asked to scan, I got scared and exited out of it and now I’m scared to try a converter

you would edit it the same way you edit any other video, then use instagram creator studio (or your phone) to publish the video. not sure about the desktop website though.

the gaussian blur trick is waaaay better than what I was using (push transition and adding a directional blur on top of it). good video learnt a lot thanks

1. sequence - arri 1080p 23.976
2. sequence - seq settings - custom - 9:16 = 1080:1920
3. you can use scenepacks
4. razor - c
4. postiion to be in frame
5. effects bar - blur&sharpen - sharpen (20) + unsharp mask (50 50 0) on clip
6. select fxs - copy - select rest of your clips - ctrl+v
7. collor grading - fx box - lumetri color
8. keyframing exposure
9. put adjustment layer - gaus blur - vertical blur dimensions
10. blurness 300 - 3 frames - 0

there isn't a solution as far as i know. tiktok compresses my edits too, despite low file size. even the audio for some reason. sorry!
