Its always great to see more Nyc zombie stories, especially as a Brooklynite. Would be great for book 2, to see Coney island during a zombie apocalypse.
Another terrific story of the zombie apocalypse in NYC. As a resident of NYC myself, I would love to see more like this. With scenes that are familiar to me (as opposed to woods, farms, cattle ranches, little towns, deserted prairies) it makes it seem very real! I found it ironic that it was the end of the world that made the protagonists realize what was really important. They realized they had let either school or work dominate their lives to an unhealthy amount----something a lot of us in real life should remember! An apartment building is likely a good spot for safety during the zombie outbreak---block out the front door and the stairway, and you are pretty secure. But people in cities are so used to having food and necessities readily available on every corner. So even if they can afford it, very few will have any real supplies stocked, certainly not more than a week's worth. And how long can the running water last? It makes for a situation that is both the best and worse of the zombie plague. I really liked the characters in this story. They are a good bunch of people and some touch New Yorker's. I am hoping they will be long term survivors, even though the odds against them are long.
You Never Fail To Supply. Brilliant. Taken me a few days to get thru it. Life has a bad habit of getting in the way! But it's been a few days full of pleasure. Thank You. Can't wait to start the new 1 i've just seen the notification for.
That was so good! John and Morgan are serious badasses. I would have been et 10 times over before I got the bodega 😂 hope they make it out of the city!
Love these stories. I'm so happy that you keep them coming, thanks. I would really like to hear how these folks are doing in the future. You know if you have nothing else to do, you could whip out book 2 for us.😊😊
Ah man, loving these NY stories as NY escapee haha! I do miss this little Bodega now, they spoke no English and me no Spanish but I sure was a regular! John's got himself some pimp game going on for Morgan too heh heh ;)
Meanwhile Leon the professional was sitting in his tiny apartment, with a carton of milk in his hand, watching all this going on ........... I don't know why I have this mental picture in my head. :p
Amazon is going to be the best place. If you're reading ebooks, they're on Kindle Unlimited, and they're also in print as well (except for these NYC stories, as they haven't been released yet on there)
I was hoping you may have had your own site. Btw keep up the great work as a Veteran I love how you are learning our ways and putting that into these stories.
Okay, my feedback on this one...can. they not be flirting like they are at a party the whole time? Between the wry smiles, dry wit, grins, chuckling, laughing...it's just too much.

They may show up again. Carl might have something up his sleeve.
You should also do success stories, maybe a group manages to secure gunshop or convenience/grocery stores

@@DerekSlatonHorrorAuthor thank you for taking your time to answer my comments I can’t wait take your time Don’t rush it.
So where the best place to get these books so you can get the moat money. Better to pad your pickets then some big box business?

Wonder if there's a story on a foster home/orphanage yet?
There was one mentioned in a Portland story, but nothing focused on them
Okay, my feedback on this one...can. they not be flirting like they are at a party the whole time? Between the wry smiles, dry wit, grins, chuckling, laughing...it's just too much.

I love these but ffs you over use words like “tableau”.
yeah i went through a phase where i was definitely overusing words. making more of an effort to weed those out
Same with "sickening thud" or "cacophony" haha but all in all, I love all of derek's works.. and I will miss these words if he stops using them..
