    I gotta say, your channel is one of my fav’s. I come home from the stress and turn on the you tube, open MC Rewind and watch you taking apart a carburetor and somehow I just don’t give a crap about the bullshit anymore 😂 I find it calming. Really appreciate what you do. Sure beats seeing a therapist 😁

    there's nothing like taking junk and bringing it back to life. did quite a few ,doing a 1964 velocette piaggio scooter that looks like its been sitting under the barn for 40 years.
    also restoring a 70 cb 350 super sport that was in a damp basement for 25 years , both are for customers .

    Fun fun fun! Really enjoy watching the progress of this project. I was surprised to see how clean that carb was inside. Also, nice to see Mr. doggy making an appearance.. they don't get any better than a black lab.

    Great build and video. Get you a tea ball for your ultrasonic. Put the screws in it when you do the carb body. Hit them with the wire wheel afterwards. Try not to put rusty screws back on.

    now that you've had it all apart, what do you think the reason for it being in a scrap yard was? fascinating watching by the way, nice to see something different

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  11 місяців тому +2

      I haven't found a smoking gun. The CVT was removed that could have been harvested at the salvage yard. If I had to guess I would say someone stopped riding it an it sat in a garage/barn for years. Until someone sold it to the salvage yard. Thanks for watching!

    Second most important tool is a set of JIS screwdrivers. These are not Phillips screwdrivers and will not strip out the soft metal screws used on Japanese bikes.

    • @motorcyclerewind

    You sure lucked out on that carburetor. Everyone I’ve ever opened was varnished.😂 pass. Some of that luck around. I just saw a woman the other day riding one of those scooters. Rattle can white, and so was her non-dot approved helmet

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  11 місяців тому +1

      The carb was shockingly clean. The one for the other Elite looked like it was in a salvage yard. But cleaned up nicely. Thanks for watching.

    what is the plan for this bike? its legally a motorcycle, so it would not be my choice to revive. I have repaired and sold a bunch of Sprees

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  11 місяців тому +1

      The plan is to get it running and ride the wheels off it. Wait on the intake to come in. Getting close to putting engine back in and fingers crossed. Having it fire up.
