I was in Duisburg last week, there’s no possibility for a house boat life there. If you want a weekend stay, yes, in one of the two weekend “swimming hotels”, but no, you can’t start your own life with your own house boat. There’s a family who’s been living there for 15 years, they’re being charged with a lawsuit, and will sure (sadly) kicked out.
