    I feel investors despite inflation should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.

      Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert.

      A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K.

    Interesting how over 2% inflation has been a concern when central banks and the Fed begin to hike interest rates. I consider the rising interest rate to be a very serious issue since it will undoubtedly cause more investors to withdraw their money from the stock market. But then I'm still aware of certain investors that continue to earn over $365,000. Wish I could accomplish that.

      I tried copy trading, just when I started investing last Christmas. Had a poor experience, the guy I copied made many small trades, slowly loosing money. What good came out of it was that it gave me an insight into how the market really works. Make sure you do your homework!

      Focus on long term investments in property, stocks, and bonds. Avoid copying, daytrading and 'chart astrology'. Diversify across different geographies, industries, and value chain stages - to reduce your risk. You can do this with ETFs, or by selecting different stocks yourself. This is the best way to invest for more than 90% of people

    I kind of agree with him. Look at Europe's inflation: Inflation across the European Union remained unchanged at an annualized 2.4% in April, which matched the consensus forecasts of economists.
    On a monthly basis, inflation throughout Europe rose 0.6%.
    Core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco, fell to an annualized 2.7% from 2.9% in March.
    Lower energy prices were the main reason for inflation continuing to moderate on the continent, said Eurostat, the statistics agency that reported the consumer price data.
    Now if energy prices fall for the US, which it might be doing (WTI is about $78), that could help overall inflation, but we will have to see. If we ever get a ceasefire in Gaza, that will also help. Time will tell. Stay Long, unless you are a Trader type.

    Tom is completely neglecting the inverted yield curve. He can view rate cuts a good as he wants but at the end of the day, the bond market is signaling a very very hard landing. Of course there will be a rate cut rally but the economic bust is right around the corner. I expect a 35-55% sell off post curve disinversion.

    • @goodbodha
      @goodbodha 4 місяці тому

      The bond market inversion isnt the signal it used to be because so much of the inversion is because of government actions. If Treasury for example had kept up a more traditional balance of bills to longer dated bonds it's quite possible the uninversion would have already happened many months ago.
      I'm not saying there won't be a recession or not but rather the signal is being screwed with.

      The recession probability is 100%. Never has the FED engineered a soft landing in HISTORY when the yield curve inverts because they are always behind the data not in front of it. Its not a question of if, its a question of when. And it does not help that the government is trying their best to keep Biden in office by cooking all of the numbers.
