Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.
Directed by Mark Andrews (The Incredibles, Ratatouille, John Carter of Mars) and Brenda Chapman (The Lion King, Prince of Egypt), and produced by Katherine Sarafian (Lifted, The Incredibles), Brave is a grand adventure full of heart, memorable characters and the signature Pixar humour enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
Brave will open in Irish cinemas on August 3, 2012.
The brawl never gets old! Rewatching this as I just found out Robbie Coltrane, the voice of Lord Dingwall, just passed away today. Rest in peace, Robbie Coltrane.
Yeah. Hagrid from Harry Potter!
DA FUQ?
When you found out that Lord Dingwell is voiced by Hagrid!!
And Valentin Zukovsky.
Rest In Peace Robbie Coltrane
And Mr Hyde in Van Hellsing
Heyo Hagrid :D
I love how young Macintosh sees wee dingwald coming and dodges while his father gets bitten.
And then proceeds to clock Dingwall Senior in revenge. lol
Young macintosh is a protective child he doesnt like his father getting hurt or being in danger so that is why he punched lord dingwall in the face.
As revenge for wee dingwall bitting lord macintosh
1:04 I like how they took the scream as a form of aggression and resumed fighting 😂
1:04 - "And No More Fighting!"
*BANG!*
- AAAAAAARGH!
*fist punch*
*fighting resumed*
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
*BANG*

Musicians play bagpipes.
WEE DINGALL!!!
I laughed so hard at that part
@@12354snow Seconds out, ROUND TWO!
He's speaking in a dialect called Doric. It's an old farmers dialect from a northeastern Scottish region named Elgin. He is saying, "If he were a wee bit closer, I could lob a cabor at him, ye ken." Ye ken is another way of saying, "You know!" A cabor is a large tree stump. Lobbing or tossing cabors is an old competitive sport of tradition game in Scotland.
Listening to it now, it almost sounds like he's saying "o'er him" instead of "at him".
Oh my god...I heard it 😦
I still to this day get slagged for saying "ken"......
WEE DINGWALL!!!
RIP Robbie Coltrane
Yeah, he's a great actor. We'll miss him and his acting very much.
Fun fact: Lord Dingwall's voice actor is the same actor who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter series and Valentin in James Bond The World is Not Enough.
Robby Coltrane,
And Kevin Mckidd (Soap from Call of Duty modern Warfare trilogy, Lucious Voranous from Rome, and Cooper from Dog Soldiers)
as Young Macguffin
And Craig Ferguson (Gobber from HTTYD) is Lord Macintosh

We Scots are a contentious bunch.
I can see that 😂😂😂
“Or are you afraid to musk your pretty hair?”
“At least we have hair.”
😂😂
The word he used was "muss", which originates from the word "mess", though it's suspected to have originated in the 19th century, somewhat later than this movie would have taken place.
The pipers ordered to stop playing
Disappointed pipers
Brawl resumes
Happy piper sounds
I was today years old when I learned Lord Dingwall was played by Robbie Coltrane -- the same actor who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies! (How did I not pick up on that sooner?!)
And he died today. RIP Robbie Coltrane 1950-2022
Boy, did you see that brawling? The Lords Macintosh, MacGuffin, and Dingwall always fight all the time! What wallops! What timing! What a trio of clowns!
LORD DINGWALL IS HAGRID, Y’ALL!!
Now that the movie's out, I wonder if Pixar will ever give first names to the clans. If not, I've already come up with my own.
Queen Elinor doesn’t tolerate any brawling, man.
OMG I'M LAUGHING SO HARD!!! I ACCIDENTALLY PEED ON MYSELF (which sucks😡😡). EVER since When I first watched it in AMC I was laughing so hard!!!!
As unpleasant as it is to end up wetting yourself from laughter, I’d say this scene was worth it.
YOU WANNA LAUGH HUH!?
WEE DINGWALL!!!
0:27: You disrespectin' mah da? You have chosen DEATH!
Attack dog mentality
No he says,"If he was a wee bit closer ah could lob a caber at him ken."
0:36. Such a big brute with doe eyes. Funny. Also, by the looks of his face, he used to have a beard. His skin is all deep brown and well tanned, but he has pale skin around his lips and cheeks. I suspect, he was pale, grew a beard, got a tan, and then shaved recently. Maybe before the journey to Dunbroch castle.
Wee dingwall is the definition of starting clan wars
Scottish Humor. Am I right lads or am I right lads?
The movie Brave is part of the reason that Scotland is nicknamed the future country of my dreams another part of the reason is The Loud Family went there to find their ancestors once and Lincoln has been crowned the Duke of Loch Loud or The King of Loud Castle or whadevayawanakalim.
Hahaha Fergus watch the all scene as like in the comedy show and they just nonchalantly play bagpies when they start fighting 😂😂
WEE DINGWALL
😮😦
0:32. 1:05
WEE DINGWALL!
Weird, he doesn't sound anything like Hagrid.
that is because it is hagrid
0:23 omg, favorite linre EVER in a movir
You wanna laugh huh? 😀
0:26 WEE DINGWALL!!! 😠
😳
Lol, Wee Dingwall turning all serious, like an attack dog.
Just learned today that the three Lord's are Lucius Vorenus(Macguffin), Hagrid(Dingwall)and Gobber the Belch(Macintosh).
WEE DINGWALL
I love that moment at 1:09 he's got the 'seriously' face on
I realized one of those characters have the same voice actor as gobber from how to train your dragon.
And Lord Dingwall is actually Hagrid from the Harry Potter movies
HAGRID????
0:41 that’s an ouch from me
I JUST FOUND OUT ROBBIE COLTRANE AND JULIE WALTERS IS IN BRAVE?!
And Merida is voiced by the grey lady in the 8th movie. And Elinor is trelawny😮
0:28 Is it just me, or does Wee Dingwall’s response remind me of the classic dramatic chipmunk video?
Like a dog trained to attack

Wee Dingwall: Hunter Killer mode activated.
Queen Elinor was like: Damn thats crazy but did i ask?
