Infected with these mods on some of those previous multi level maps could be fantastic fun.

The slipstream mod seems like it should be super easy to fix. Off the top of my head I can think of two simple ways (I have no idea which is more "realistic"):
1. Use a logarithmic function for slipstream power with a customisable threshold. Now you get diminishing returns when adding multiple slipstreams together.
2. Apply only the most "powerful" of all slipstreams you intersect with, don't add them together.
it does diminish with a normal value because it uses the total aero forces of the vehicle, so for each car going through it should in theory get weaker and weaker, the problem is when the multiplier is set high enough it becomes a back draft which can get so strong that it starts exponentially increase the draft with each vehicle xD, using the highest force will still cause that i think,
I think maybe i could add a high multiplier mode that just uses the speed of the vehicle and not the aero forces to calculate it
@@Olrosse Wait, are you telling me the slipstream is implemented by adding a backdraft??? Or am I misunderstanding? Cause that ingenious and also nuts. I'm guessing there are some limitations in Beam's modding capabilities =P
Since actually modeling this would be a pain in the ass, my initial idea would be something very hacky like reducing air resitance depending on the car ahead's speed, drag and distance. Maybe reduce downforce too to simulate driving through turbulent air. That way, even if you reduce the slipstream to a vacuum, it will never _accelerate_ you. But that might be virtually impossible in a mod, I dunno. Also, not as funny.
Alex took the term hotlap a bit too seriously in the last race.

As much as it might help your racing, I think the mod is too unrealistic, takes away from Beam

Maybe it isn't worth the time investment.
