- This is my last day in Ethiopia and why I'm Leaving. In this Ethiopia travel vlog I am Walking around the neighborhood of Addis Ababa in which I am staying in I run into some nice people along the way. I walk through the Haya Hulet area of Addis Ababa and get a shoe cleaning since my shoes were filthy. I walk to the Mad Vervet where I meet @QueenDesta who is another great African girl vlogger based in Ethiopia. We discussed life over a cup of bunna (coffee) of course. She did an awesome podcast with me which is on her channel and I will leave a link here where you can see it. Overall, it was a great last day in Ethiopia and I'm leaving this time to travel to other places, but I will definitely be back for a part 3 series.

I have been to Ethiopia around 7 times and plan to visit again I like technology isn't rampant everybody isn't on there phone people question when they see people walking around recording videos is respectable. I don't want it to be like us in the West and Asia people stuck on there phones and not socializing. They are just curious what your doing and I hope stays like that because I like how Ethiopia specially outside of Addis still intact with nature

22 (Haya Hulet, twenty two) is the name of an area where bus no 22 ends its journey starting from central Addis. I don't know if that bus route still exists; i guess the area now covers bigger/wider surroundings!

Ethiopians are friendly. Transportation and housing are very expensive in Ethiopia. That is why I am not moving there anytime soon 😢. I love the country but the system needs an update.

every time you greet people in the streets you're also attracting those who ask money. Sometimes you have to avoid such unwanted attention. Especially trying to engage them with a conversation is a recipe for disaster. But the people are generally nice. It's just that they assume you've a lot of money since you're a foreigner.

@Myer: thanks for your uniquely memorable videos on Ethiopia. Yes, I perfectly understand how unpleasant & disturbing it is to be harassed by hordes of beggars in Ethiopia. Sorry about that. Your video could send a very good message to Ethiopian authorities on how improving the degrading & awful levels of poverty in Ethiopia is a better investment to attract more tourists than wasting what little money the country has on advertisements meant to attract foreign visitors via glossy brochures. Tourists are attracted to a country that looks & feels pleasant by looking after its own people. Clearly, Ethiopia's hordes of beggars do spoil the whole experience of visiting Ethiopia. Of course, most "patriotic Ethiopians" live in the Lala-world & tend to deny the terrible image of their country in the eyes of the world. All the best.
Yes but it is understandable why it happens, it happens in all nations. The best the country could do is try to give these people a place and purpose in society so they do not feel the need to be on the streets begging. I pray that God gives me the chance to help people and make positive changes like this.
