I agree, I likely never would've never fully appreciated them had I not seen them open for another band with no clue as to who they were. Blew my mind completely open.
@@timothyshows2374 they are still a band, a few of the members have gotten married and have kids and stuff so they don't your often. They're from Atlanta, GA which is where I live and they NEVER play here. It's a shame. They also released a new album earlier this year which is not as heavy but absolutely amazing, I love all their work.
One of their most impactful song... They lull you in right in the middle with that quiet section, "Are you listening?" and then go balls to the wall with the distortion wall of sound. Actually, now that I think about it, most of their stuff involves a cohesive wall of emotional-sound.
i feel like i'm a Mongolian warrior about to take arms with my brothers. "Leeeroy Jennnkins!" those asain guys look kewl. incredible music.. i'm gonna read the shit out of game of thrones tonight :3
I think that more people need to understand how insanely talented this band is.
Like damn.
Yes
this is so immense. it easily deserves a million views if you ask me.
o'brother is one of those bands where a recording just won't do them justice. you have to see and feel o'brother live.
peacexisxfree
basically they made it so alive even behind the screen
I just discovered them today! I wish I could see them live. Do you know what they are doing these days?

They’re an assault on your chest cavity. Take a few deep breaths before you walk in, for sure.
One of my all time favorite songs. Punishingly heavy, and beautifully written. Goosebump material, and I'm not talking about R.L. Stein.
Litteraly listening to Bear/cleanse me/last breathe, non stop for 2 months straight....juste mesmerizing

Amazing band. Saw them live in Denver a few years ago at the Marquis theater.
One of my favorites off "Garden Window." Awesome performance!
Beautiful....
every time I listen to this version I get surprised when they don't do the screaming part and just keep it instrumental. that parts so epic though
I remember this band popping up on to my feed after meditation.

Is that Strat like guitar Jordan's playing a baritone guitar?
Pretty sure it is, but don't know what kind. Really nice looking, would love to have it.
tool ?
Anyone know what tuning these dudes play in?
+blankbrian Sounds like Drop B to me. Maybe even lower, but the guitar definitely gets down to that low B.
+blankbrian It's pretty low. But I'm also 100% sure one of the guys plays on a baritone guitar.
+blankbrian I played it in Drop B
I think that there are multiple tunings in al honesty but to keep the rhythm I did Drop B
Eargasm.
Does anyone know what guitar Tanner is using?
that's a Peavey T-60. Made from 1979-81. Absolutely beautiful guitar, totally worth the snag if you're looking.
I wish I could buy it. I have no money though :/
